    Can you do a video on feel? Getting your eighth notes to swing in a jazz style, playing behind in an R&B style and just how to practice your pocket?

    Your ability to keep us focused through your videos is worth mentioning. I like how you start your videos by playing the subject objective. It makes the information easier to retain and appreciate. another reason why I enjoy your explanations is because you seem like a very humble person therefore it translates to how you explain things.

    As a self-taught pianist, I've been looking for something like this for a long time. It's been a challenge trying to understand how to really voice chords and trying to figure out all the theory by myself. Your videos (all of them) are so amazingly helpful!!! i hope you continue to make videos for the aspiring musician :)

    Hey Jeff, love your content. I'd love to see some more on the industry side of being a musician. Also, next time you do a progression breakdown, can you talk a little more on the function of the grace notes? You give a very detailed harmonic analysis, but I often feel like the "feel" is a result of the grace notes and inflections you're using. Thanks!!

    Really appreciate these videos! I always feel a bit unsure about what seems like breaking rules, but then I see you do the same things or even crazier things haha, really motivates me to just try things :D I seem to write the best things just doing it and then later checking what kind of theory is behind it anyway

    • @marvinkmooneyoz
      @marvinkmooneyoz 7 років тому

      Music is less about rules then it is about patterns. You can do pretty much anything in music, just be aware of what makes it what it is, then you can decide what aspects to keep or change at any given time.

    • @Gnurklesquimp
      @Gnurklesquimp 7 років тому

      Yeah you can do loads of strange stuff as long as you properly establish what you're doing, introducing a real twist to existing patterns can be a tough one but even then I'll often see variations on existing patterns reoccurring under new conditions, after I analyze it
