@7:28 When I lived in Colorado that dude was riding there, too! Now truly I doubt it was the exact same model but that irreverence and pioneer spirit is unmistakable.
Yeah! It’s wild, man. Coming down black diamonds like that. I would never ride without a helmet and risk TBI and I smash my toes into rocks all the time and need that protection, so I’m not sure how he’s doing this unscathed. I literally fell and smashed my helmet and broke my ribs on one of the trails he was on this summer. But it’s up to him, in the long run. Pretty impressive.
@@ButlerDoesIt76 My theory on this: Since he has no protection he pays a lot more attention to his riding and line choice. I will bet pennies-to-dollars that he is not going full-till down the line. I can tell you that the more protection I use the more reckless and more chances I take. I like going fast so I wear lots of protection just in case. When I only wear my helmet and no pads, I slow down a lot since I do not want to go OTB.
@INABCinema yeah. He was going at a decent clip, but I didn’t see him riding downhill. He was definitely older, too. I’m knee pads and helmet at all times. I’m old and my knees are destroyed enough. Haha.
@@ButlerDoesIt76 Yeah, my knees, my shoulders, and one elbow is also destroyed from 40+ years of riding. That's why I wear a full face helmet, full pads and just got myself a full chest/back/shoulder protector. I just can't slow down. LOL
@INABCinema I feel you. I’ve got a back protector in my hydration bag and I’ve had to switch to eMTB because I’ve had a liver transplant and can’t get up the hill like I used to.
A most excellent time on excellent trails! Thank you again for showing me around Hawes!
So fun. Can’t wait to do it again. Maybe Bean Peaks around Xmas.

Pretty hardcore.
@@ButlerDoesIt76 Yep, he is indeed. He's so hard he uses his legs to propel the bike to get around, instead of his thumb
The guy in the city bike with sandals and no helmet is the biggest bad-ass out there! Living his best life.
