He's a legendary & super talented singer songwriter from Taiwan known for his beautiful, soulful & unique voice (besides his good looks). He's been dominating the Chinese music industry for over 30yrs now since the 90s & has garnered many awards under his belt, and of course tons of classic hits such as " 爱如潮水 - Love is Like a Tide" under his name. Just last month, he also became the 1st Chinese singer ever to hold a concert in the Middle East in Dubai, an extremely super proud moment for all Chinese! Long time no see ❤️ it's indeed been a while since she got into a show but it will got a lot better when she left her current company. Basically what happened was if you want to know why she cried, she was touched by the people whose were supporting her, when she was talking back to that judges. The show cut off all that scene... When the first time she went to that show, the audience cheer for the judges when they criticized her. But now the audience cheering for her and support her. That's why she cried, was touched by the support not by that judges, she is immune by that kind of comment by now.
@@khaisiang1806 I could be wrong but I think that some singers or coaches who have acquired a sort of summit (knowledge or mastery) in pop cannot tolerate the vocal superiority of singers from Bel Canto. They then criticize the non-vocal aspects. I've noticed this several times (not just about XY).
Beautiful duet and I hope that there will be videos soon with English subtitles because I would like to know what is said after singing, so I am curious why Xiaoyun had to cry when they were judged🤔. The lack of sub in Chinese videos is a problem, indeed. But you can get an idea by reading some comments. Actually the judges seem to criticize Xiaoyun for being young and singing well (“young” meaning not having lived enough to be able to feel and express emotions, and “singing well” means hiding behind an arrogant technique the fear of revealing oneself). On the other hand, I don't know what XiaoYun answered... except the tears (I have the impression she is a little depressed lately). When Huo Zun was criticized by a judge... he yelled at the judge. But poor little XioYun has nothing but her eyes to cry with.
@@continentzero7572 Normally I always dig in the comments for answers to my questions, but I just got my laptop back from repair after 2 days......on my tablet I am unable to enter the languages I do not understand into Google Translator.. Thanks for the explanation and it is indeed sad for Xioyun that she is crying because of the critical words.

Thank you for this reaction to our XY hot out of the oven. These competitions are always live, of course, but you should know that the more relaxed a singer is, the higher and purer his notes can be. For Xioyun, who has training in bel canto, these pretty whistles are nothing. During her final exam, she sang opera arias non-stop for 45 minutes, the notes of which were 10 times higher and more powerful than what she effortlessly does here. That said, this ease of singing high was very misinterpreted by the judges who accused her of not being involved enough... which forced Zhang Xin Zhe to offer a tissue to Xiaoyun to wipe away a tear. BTW, you can call Zhang Xin Zhe just Jeff Chang if you prefer.
