Just ran across a pair of these on clearance for 69.99 and snatched them up. To go with my early season pittsburgh soft toe. Great advice on keen boots they should be paying you.
Nice deal! You will love them
Keen has great customer service. Like there boots alot.
Agree 100%. Love Keen boots. Own all the pairs you mentioned. Will check out the Revel. The large toe box and waterproof are the features I like best. Fit great for my feat.
Yep keens are all I wear! My feet love them!
Thanks, man. I appreciate you.
thanks.
Keen makes the best winter boots
I agree
Thanks for the video, you should market for Keen! I got a pair they're the best boots I've ever owned. Lightweight, ridiculously comfortable, and keeps me warm in Canada. Though it doesn't usually go below -15 Celsius where I am.
Glad you like them. Such great boots
I bought a pair of Keen Targee 2s on Amazon early in the year and it's a bullet proof boot and as I have a bunion my footwear for long distances are limited. Planning on getting something with better grip for rocky slippery conditions as the only downside with the Targee 2s is the grip in rocky wet conditions are not the best.
Yep thier comfort is unmatched in my book
Nice Review ! I'm Looking for an early season boot for Elk hunting in Colorado in September.
I have never been elk hunting but spend alot of time in the smoky mtns. Very steep and very rugged. Keens have always served my feet well.
@@tradbowpodcast Thanks for the reply, a few other guys have used Keens on there Elk hunts and they Love them! I Love the idea of a bigger toe box !
Keen is probably the most comfortable steel toe boot I've had unfortunately only lasted 6 months in the environment I work in made me hesitant to buy for everyday wear good to hear they last good might give them a try now
I wear them as everyday shoes and in the woods. Very happy with how well them hold up in both those environments.
Keep your receipts they warranty under a year. Did it with 2 pairs of work boots.
@@shawngagliano4376 good to know. Thanks for the info.
Well they didn't have keens I wanted so ended up with some lowa
@@nathancrowe6522 great boots as well!
Great boots - but - how long did it take for your glue to fail ? I have 3 pairs and glue failed on all. I reglued and got a few more months. I duck taped a pair as well. But glue shouldn't fail.
Only had the glue fsil on a side lug on my every day shoes. I just gorilla glue it and never needed to do it again. Ha r not had to on my hunting keens at all. But if I do. A quick shot of gorilla glue and will be better than new. The comfort, waterproof and affordable price keep me buying them. Are thier more durable boots. Yes but comfort and waterproofness, I don't think so.
How does these boots do on concrete??? I work indoors and outdoors... and hunt after work. So I would like to have a multi purpose boot.
I wear keens everyday and they hold up excellent. Get about 2 years out of my daily wearing ones before I pitch them. And when I do throw them out its usually because they look beat up rather than because they are beat up.
Would the Revel be good for a mid or early season elk hunt in Arizona or New Mexico?
Probably too warm as they are insulated
Hi,
I was wondering if that boot all day comfortable and is it ok to wear in hot weather. I am a UPS delivery driver.
Also will it be comfortable for an all day up, down, crouch, squat, push, pull, lift and run kind of job???
This one is designed for cold weather. The targee is a warm weather mid high that I wear alot and live. Plus they have many other models that would work great
Hey man what do you think about the new keen steens waterproof mid boot? I saw them at sportsmanswarehouse the other day and knew you would be the guy to ask.
Never tried those. Look like a vented version of the targe I wear every day. Probably is a fantastic boot! Every keen boot i have tried (about 7 different models now) have all been fantastic
Traditional Bowhunting And Wilderness Podcast I remember you saying that keen dry was really good so I might go with them. I think I could get by with them for most of the season here in KY.
@@case8987 check online for prices. Usually Amazon has some great deals and does zappos.

I need a boot for Colorado elk hunts in early November. 6500-7000ft elevation, probably low 30's during the day. Plenty of snow. I will be be hiking and pausing for glassing. I HATE stiff, real tall boots. I will sacrifice stability for flexibility. What Keen boot would you recommend?
Probably the revel 4. But take that with a grain of salt as I dont hunt in the mountains.
@@tradbowpodcast Do you have any experience with the Circadia Polar's?
@@bthorn5035 I do not
You think the Revel 3 would be too warm for 60deg hunts?
Everyone's feet are different. I thing they would be fine personally if sitting on stand. If still hunting in 60 dgree Temps probably gonna get warm
I bought three pair of them I found out they are put together in the United States I'm looking for a much American made products as possible
Love keens!
Which do you like revel 3 or 4?
Have not tired the 4s yet. Love the 3s
Do you put Leather treatment on the Pittsburgh are any whether proof?
I have never treated any boots with any conditioners or treatments. All the keens I buy are water proof with Keen dry and its amazing!
OK THANKS I APPRECIATE THE ADVICE
I am outdoors every day, all year. I have boots that go back to 30 years ago and they are still useable. I have always treated my leather boots or any leather sections of the boot/shoe. I use mink oil and always will.
@@tradbowpodcast false, I've boutght one pair of Keen Revel IV boots and are not waterproof at all. I've walked through of more the 20 inches and the socks were wet. I've changed the boot on warranty and with the new ones I've walked through 1 inch slush and the inside was full of moisture. So the waterproffness is bulshit for keen.
Instead in the same conditions I've used cheap Decathlon winter boots or Salomon (3 season, not winter) boots and the socks were dry. Should I say that the Decathlon boots cost less than 50$ and the salomon cost less than 100$, while the keen cost 180$?
@@cristic4506 while my keens with keen dry are 100% waterproof. And I have 7 pairs and thry are all waterproof and jave the best waterproofing i have ever found in a hiking boot.
For sitting.....sub zero blind or ice fishing? Nothing......nothing beats military white bunny boot. You are not going to trek in them but your feet will not get cold.
Yep those have always worked amazing.
Seems most Keen boots do not come in wide widths.
Most of the ones I see do on Amazon
Of the 3 listed above only the Pittsburg softtoe comes in a wide width. @@tradbowpodcast
@@phillipfloyd2369 Might be why I said that. Some one just told me they bought the keens I recommended in a wide and they were too wide since keen runs wide and has a wide toe box already. That how I knew they come in wide. I don't buy keens in wide because they already are. Where as with danner, asolo, Vasque, etc I always buy wide.
What's your shoe size?
10
@@tradbowpodcast thanks
Go check the price today. Inflation is here.
I'm still wearing the same pair from a couple years ago🤣
My keen Pittsburgh's ripped right across the foot bed. Pissed.
Never ever head of that happening on any boot ever. I'd call them and have them replace them
Summit County, not Country.
big disposable income........
and i work damn hard for it.
So....this isn't actually a "review"!
Would you like to see me walk in them? Whats missing?
Revel 3 vs circadia polar, which one do you think is stronger? Both keen
Not sure never tried rhe cicadia
