    9:10 minutes in, this pattern is actually super easy! The top commenter is most likely a beginner, I recommend doing a granny square instead of this first, all the stitches are the same, but this tutorial is super easy so far!

    this is the only star crochet tutorial i've seen so far that explains it so simply and well. thank you so much!! would this pattern work for a blanket if i just kept adding +2 dc along each side of the points ?

    • @bluegrassfairy
      @bluegrassfairy  Місяць тому +3

      I’m so glad you found this helpful! And yes absolutely it would work for a blanket. I would also recommend if you want a thick striped look, keep in mind you should do more rows of each color because the bigger the star the smaller the stripe looks, if that make sense. Just a tip :)

    17:13 didn’t you skip one loop? Because when I do 4 dc, there is still one left before the space

    • @bluegrassfairy
      @bluegrassfairy  Місяць тому +5

      Oh yes I think that’s something I forgot to explain, you have to skip the stitch closest to your chain 2 cause that one doesn’t count. I do this at the beginning of each round. Sorry i forgot to explain that!

      That’s a great question, so mine has never done that it could be the kind of yarn you’re using or how tight it is or something like that. As long as it come together okay I think you should be fine

      sometimes when my flat crochet pieces curl or have bumps in them I spray them with water and keep them under a heavy book/ flat object, it always gets the job done!

    Can't you just use a magic circle instead of doing a chain?

    • @bluegrassfairy
      @bluegrassfairy  Місяць тому +1

      You can but I found out that if you do this is can unravel when you put weight in the bag, If you don’t tie in your tail really well. The chain is more secure I think.

      Yes! I think it’s a very easy pattern to follow as long as you pay attention and count your stitches each round it’ll come out great.

    • @craftyserenity
      @craftyserenity Місяць тому +3

      I also think that this is a very easy pattern, and she even shows how to do some stuff to where some beginners can understand. This is not a hard pattern unless you aren't paying attention or reading well. It's really easy for beginners and advanced, and I like that she does that. Just pay more attention and read better, and it'll be easier 😌

    Thank you so much for this vid. I had tried so many trying to get what I wanted look wise. Your's made so much more sense. I do have a little bit of advice for you, sometimes when you're showing stitches and counting, you pull your work off camera, luckily you put it just enough back that I could pause or wind back to make sure I caught the right instructions. Other thing is more for how you worded this one. You said that you're doubling dcs, the part along the side up to the peaks.
