I havent played piano in 20 + years but it is my grandma's favorite song and i figured since she doesnt have much time left that i should try and play this song for her. Got page 1 of 12 down might take a while
One of my father's pieces. He didn't just play the piano, he felt the music and could have gone far but chose another career path... This rendition is indeed soulful... and comes close to how his playing made me feel...
So did MY mother ! She never did succeed in getting right through it without messing up. Hearing this piece destroyed day after day was almost enough to make me completely give up music.
i am 75 yeafs old and remember my old teacher, mr morrish, playing the rustle of spring on the school piano in alexander junior school hounslow in the 1950s, such wonderfull memories of lovely man. roy wicks
My mother used to play this. It's one of the best memories I have of her at the piano. I miss her so much. Thank you for bringing back such lovely thoughts of her. You play it beautifully.
My father used to play this... Brings back memories... I've been searching online, listening to different versions which are all too fast imo. This one seems slower... how I remembered him playing it... not because he couldn't, but because this piece warranted it. Chenyin Li's rendition is exquisite....
When we were sent off to bed at 7:30 to read for a while, our mother would practice all her piano pieces. This one of my favorites so I'm so pleased to have found this performance.
I used to love to hear my mother play this when I was a little kid. I used to think it was called “Brussels of Spring”. This really brings back nice memories. Thank you!
I have a tape of my Mother playing this when she was in her 90's, in 1998. She definitely was not as accomplished a pianist as Chenyin Li, but this brings back such beautiful memories.
This was one of only 2 pieces of music I remember my dad playing when I was a little girl. (The other piece being Moonlight Sonata). They make we cry when I hear them. We had this piece at Dad's funeral.
Oh, the joys of tax season! Had to listen to this whilst on hold for the CRA this morning for 90 minutes. This version is much better than theirs though, it doesn't cut out nearly as often!
Ha! I made a playlist and google drive sheet music collection of all the hold music! What was most maddening is that they were only about minute-and-a-half clips of each piece, so there was no satisfaction of musical development. Just steadily mounting frustration instead.

Just beautiful! So beautifully played! This is my favourite performance of this piece. And, what a beautiful sounding piano - again a favourite. Thank you so much!
The first trip this years and years ago when I saw the film intermezzo with Leslie Howard and Ingrid Bergman it was permanently featured in the soundtrack and and in the story. I don't know why but it really intrigued me and I heard it on a bit on this video I just fell in love with it
Frequently came home from school to find our Mom playing this. Memory will stay with me forever. Beautiful performance.
This was such an elegant and tender performance, I think she deserves more attention
This was my mother's piano piece. She used to play it every day when I was a child. This is a beautiful soulful performance.
Mine too and piano was in my bedroom so it was a lulaby for me.

@@and7barton why such a rude comment towards your mother's playing? And what does it mean that it made you stop with music??

My aunt played this for me a zillion years ago. I selected it for my recital piece when I was 14. I wanted to make her proud and I aced it.

Wow! Lots of mothers played this piece! Gorgeous!!!!
Chenyin Li is fabulous ! And the song is pure genius !

My mom's song too - remember her practising those running up and down notes for hours. ❤
Thank you for sharing your beautiful talent with us! I love that piece so much💕

My sister’s signature piece when she was younger. Thank you for a beautiful performance. Brought back so many memories.

My brother played this also and he died from MN, hearing this made me cry, soulfully played, BEAUTFIUL Just how it should be played! Thank you.
What fantastic technique and command of dynamics. Best version I've heard.
I play this every time I am feeling stressed and it calms me down big time.❤

Excellent music 🎹🎶👏
Beautiful, just beautiful. I hope it will trigger my Mom's memory. She is 95 and I want her to sit down and play the piano again
My Mom played it also!! Her favorite.
I’m 86 and this was play quite often on radio when i was 8 to 10 i 3:13 vaguely remember .

One of my favourites when I played the violin as a teenager.
Bravo from Norway
Just beautiful! So beautifully played! This is my favourite performance of this piece. And, what a beautiful sounding piano - again a favourite. Thank you so much!
Now THAT'S how my dad played it when he was alive !!!
Hi
My mum too before alshiemers got hold of her.
The first trip this years and years ago when I saw the film intermezzo with Leslie Howard and Ingrid Bergman it was permanently featured in the soundtrack and and in the story. I don't know why but it really intrigued me and I heard it on a bit on this video I just fell in love with it
Wonderful piece! Beautiful playing! Thanks!!!!
Beautiful !
My grandma is 80 and can’t play it technically perfect any more but there’s still tremendous soul in her performance
She's amazing! One of my favs for sure.
She plays it just like my dad did 💕
Besutiful interpretation
Love that dress
Fantastic!! Good tempo :)
My mother's fave.
Nicely done. I enjoyed it. Thanks.
Great performance!
Lovely style and tempo. I'm afraid that I used to play this piece a bit more quickly many years ago - to the delight of my fellow snooker players 😃
Bravo!
How beautiful tune. Thanks for sharing.
nicest version so far.
Excellent
Thanks
Mine too!
I remember my aunt (who was a concert pianist) telling me ( an amateur) that this piece was easy! It was NOT for me.
😇🙏
My mother too
and mine
She's good. She could be a prifessional!
A lovely piece of music but it a pity that small hand students can't manage to play the arpeggiated passages well.
Splendid piano mastery, bad video synchronization.
