- Video of my first session & first time at Donington Park. What an awesome track! Very technical with some blind & late apex’s. The mini’s handling was epic. So adjustable on the limit and incredible on the brakes. Gearing was mph perfect too. Took me a few laps to realise that the craner curves was flat from the exit of Redgate all the way down to the old hairpin where I was just clipping 110mph. In this vid I follow my mates 208bhp MINI Cooper S for a lap and then have some fun chasing a well driven Caterham.
Mini has a Yamaha 5PW engine in the front with ITB’s. 152bhp. 165/70r10 road tyres - Авто та транспорт
Epic fella! The run with the Caterham shows how capable your car is, with it only just slipping away. You should be proud of that. Looks nice and playful on the turn in too.
Thanks Mark. The car setup is brilliant now. It handles so well as I think you can see in the vid, especially compared to my early footage. Zero bump steer now, body stays very flat and tucks the front end with a small lift or mild trail brake.
I found the track really quite difficult to get to grips with. I got Redgate, craners & old hairpin pretty dialled in but didn’t ever really feel like I nailed any of the other corners consistently. Need to go back & have some more seat time there I think.
This is epic!! I cant waitt to get mine to the track! I have a rwd r1 mini 😁😁
You’ll have a blast. Clutch-less 11,000 rpm upshifts are immense!
Cool build!! Btw whats the gearing ratio?
Did you have any issues with Water or oil temps? You ran 2 radiators how about for oil cooling?
2 coolant rads & 1 oil cooler. Works great
Awesome driving! Do you remember the final alignment settings you settled on? Caster camber toe? That mini is hooked up
Sure thang 👍

@@miniduds you installed the Swifttune Tranx Differential correct? If so do
Did you have to do any modification at all or was it simply a direct drop in? Thanks man I really appreciate your help we’re just in the middle of getting things ordered up and want to get the right parts?
@@Bratmouse1 I didn’t get the swiftune one, I just got the normal Trax-X plate type one with hardy spicer outputs. I used a 3.47 FD. I think I had to grind a bit of the casing away but it was so long ago I can’t quite remember sorry!
@@miniduds did it work the original ring and pinion? I know you changed ratios but would it work with the one that came with the kit?
@@Bratmouse1 no I had to buy a LSD type ring & pinion.
Dudley do you still have the car and if so, are you still considering selling it?
Hi Mathew, I sold it a few months back. Car now resides in Scotland
Thank you @@miniduds, that’s one lucky Scot!
Hi Dudley ... how many Horsepower please this little great beast? Is it still for sale on Ebay? If so ... could yo please send the link thank you
125bhp@ the wheels at 10,800rpm, the dyno run is on one of my other videos. It is now owned by a chap up in Scotland 👍
@@miniduds Thanks a ton for your reply. I am looking to buy one similar with around 200HP (but street car, well Sundays Car). Would you mind please guiding me as to who I can contact. Thank you so much
Was this on ebay a week or 2 ago?
Hi yes it was. Buyer just pulled out due to impending divorce though so I still have it. All amicable though and he let me keep the 10% securing deposit as compensation for time wasting.
I should advertise it again but i’ve got the urge to do another track day!
@@miniduds keep it! Itll only be the biggest regret ever!
@@D4VE26 Really difficult decision! The car is essentially finished and I feel satisfied but a bit sad that as the evolution is over. Half the fun was honing it. I should just enjoy it and use it but i’ve got the itch to build something else!
@@miniduds How much are you looking to get for it?
@@Bratmouse1 it’s on ebay for £14,950 or best offer
