I'm mourning the passing of this legendary drummer. So sad to watch his last hurrah before forced retirement due to bad health. He really was one of the best of the era. RIP Dino! 🥁💔
Dino is a straight savage... one of the true drumming greats. The Rascals and Laura Nyro are the most worthy additions to the RRHOF in recent years. So well deserved.
It is sad he is gone now. He is such a pleasure to watch. He is moving and playing just like he did when he was young. He is one with the drums. Like it's part of him. He was a great drummer. Stevie Van Zandt said one of the best.
RIP, Dino. I remember seeing his old Premier kit with the green/white/red Italian stripes in the long Island Drum Shop, maybe 24 years ago. He was the coolest.
As a young drummer I always thought Dino was twirling his sticks, off to the side, and in-between beats on his snare. He's not. He's simply flicking his wrist back and forth, which no doubt keeps his wrists limber and ready to roll.
Excellent. It's heart and soul and talent, not age or weight. These guys sound as good if not better than their original recording. An added plus is they seem to be having fun. Isn't that what music is all about anyway? Thank you for posting this and yes Dino can kick some serious drum ass!
Several great things about this video 1. It wasn't rushed like some of the other songs posted on their "Once Upon A Dream" tour. 2. The camera stayed focused on Dino. Very annoying with so many videos and TV shows today, is the constant changing of camera shots, as if they think everyone has a two second or less attention span. 3. We can see Dino still has some flare with his sticks, but wonder if he can still do the kind of stuff like he did live on "Good Lovin" ?
Random thought time: "past their prime" is just a myth. It seems pretty obvious to me that these guys can still rock as well today as they did back in the 60's. If anything, they have probably gotten better, being so much more experienced.
Such an underrated band!!! Dino is STILL amazing!!!
One of best drummers ever.
Spinning/ twirling of sticks amazing.
What a sheer joy to watch Dino on the drums !!!

I read somewhere that Dino danelli had dementia. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Dino has so much charisma.
1 of the greats! dino!

On his bass drum was the word Rascals like they used to!

I grew up with their music. They are my favorite American band. Their harmonies are out of sight. Condolence to the family of Dino Danelli
Love me some Ringo but Dino is the reason I started playing drums way back when.
Thanks for the Dino feature.
This was one of the band's underrated songs!

Wonder how many people noticed all the things Dino was doing with those sticks in the background...amazing!!

One of the Rascals' coolest songs. Thanks for posting this.
One of the great East coast show drummers along with Carmine and Corky.

One thing is undeniable : you can’t beat the sound of a well-tuned Ludwig Supraphonic snare drum !
My '72 Rogers Chrome Dynasonic is right there as well.
I understand they are quite LOUD ... 🎶
This is awesome !

Unique drumming
I like how Dino's kit just has L-mounts for the toms.
Are these all the original Rascals?
Yes they are the originals. They had some additional backup singers for this production but Felix, Eddie, Gene and Dino are all here. ❤️
