I visited Croatia in March 2019 then we went over to Albania. We really enjoyed our experience there in Albania. The people are so kind and hospital.

The only thing missing that you have the opportunity is to be able to feel the temperature to be able to smell the fresh air smell the foliage to be able to feel the ground you're walking on. You must visit Kruja if you want to know more about history, if you like mountains you need to visit Shkodra (theth is the village ) and if you like the beaches go to Vlora, Saranda, Durres!

If you want something like Gjirokaster but maybe even better check out Berat, its a also a World Heritage city.

I have watched your other videos on the Albanian Trip.
As for gjirokaster usually it is very busy during the summer,but not this year.
Corona virus has had a big impact on Albanian tourism this year.
But I would recommend you one place that you could visit which is near saranda where you are based at the moment.
Is called butrint.is over 2000 years old you must go and check it out.is about 10 min drive from saranda.
Great country with so much to explore Albania has everything you need to explore beach's history tradition mountains rivers forests lakes hiking etc great video Danny well done

Gjirokaster is a very beautiful place, so old and there was no one around but you two. That stone bridge in the middle of nowhere was awesome. It looks Roman? It's so dry and mountainous there like southern California. The drone views add such & enhancement & depth to the eye level scenes. Albania's tourist board owes you two big time!😀😄😂😎
Albania has a massive tourism in the summer. It used to be nice when it wasn't discovered or when people thought it wasn't safe but Albania was and is always safe. Probably one of the safest places on earth. Now tourism will destroy it. I only say that because Albania has currupted politicians and all that tourism money they make they will not know how to invest in the country.

I had no idea Albainia was so nice, i can remember looking across to Albainia from Corfu and wondering how bad it was, warships patrolling the sea waiting to pick up anyone straying into their waters, now it looks like the ideal holiday resort destination.

I hope my Oct-Nov trip doesn't get postponed again. The plan is to spend 3 weeks in Albania traveling the country. Nice to see the roads since I've rented a car for trip sans for the time in the Accursed mountains.
Some say that Gjirokaster’s name come from Gjiro Castle, Gjiro was a king or something like that, waiting for you to come in Kosovo to spend some months

Very little tourist because of corona. Locals at this time of the year prefere beaches.
I want to visit Albania so bad but coronavirus has different ideas, here in Greece I met lots of people from Albania real nice warm people and like to go visit the country.

A nice time for tourists to go out is like 5-6 pm because albania is still kinda old town where everyone goes home and rests at that time, maybe that’s why Danny found it empty lol

I'm glad you're enjoying Albania, man! It's got quite an allure for foreign tourists as such a mysterious place right in between the all-too familiar countries of Italy and Greece. To fully grasp the diversity that such a small country has to offer, I would recommend heading north from the Albanian Riviera, and in no more than 6 hours you'll be surrounded by the Albanian Alps of Theth and Valbona. By the way, the stone bridge that captivated you is known as the 'Kordhoca Bridge' and was built in 1820, so it's only 200 years old. Not too old for our standards haha! For an even greater blast to the past, I'd recommend paying a visit to the 2000-year-old UNESCO World Heritage sight of 'Butrint' outside of Saranda. Now that's a sight to behold. Take a dive into the nearby 'Blue Eye' (Syri i Kalter) while you're at it!
