Crosshair had respect for Echo long before he met mayday. 1. During the clone wars when Rex and Tech freed Echo, he was fighting alongside the bad batch and Skywalker. (If you look in the background Crosshair had put his hand on Echo's shoulder indicating his respect) 2. When he aided the Jedi against the separatists union before they blew up their space craft. He was able to plug into their system and detect a bomb... They were awarded medals that the bad batch turn down. 3. Hunter extended and Olive Branch to Echo and allowing him to join them. They all were in agreement.
the suspense, the tension was just off the charts! I'm mentally NOT prepared for the rollercoaster that is episodes 14 and 15! 2:5 the way he said 'negative' like dang the sarge knows who's in charge.

I think it is because Crosshair respects regs and since he lost mayday in season 2. He tends to respect them a lot more.
