Paid 25k$ over for my stingray... never buying a corvette again until dealers fix their issues.
They can mark it too the moon. I won't be able to afford it😢
No lube either 😂
@@Drewce If people dont pay it; they dont charge it lol. but there's always someone who cares less about money... and they driving one while others complain.
@@Drewce Sounds like you went to the wrong dealer. We have never charged over sticker for new Corvettes, or any new vehicle at all at our dealership
I've been waiting for this thing for 5 years, can't wait to see what Corvette has cooked up
An E-Ray with Z06 engine. They pretty much spell it out in this preview video. Guessing more extreme aero, like the C7 ZR1.
@@tomh9470 If leaks from the past 5 years are correct, it's probably more likely to be a Z06 with turbos. Nurburgring spy shots do show a ZTK wing like the C7 ZR1, but they also show additional intake holes in the back that are likely for turbos.
It’s erray front drive train and twin turbo v8
@@Zachcamaj that’s the Zora. The ZR1 will be TT FPC V8. There’s also rumors of a hybrid Z06 variant being made as well
I love all the people "waiting" and hyping up cars that they will never be able to get in this life or their next 10 lives lmao
300k street price. Good news is the Z06 values will drop hard.
2020 c8 are cheappp
z06 won't drop at all. Different animal.
ZO6 values won't drop. If this and the Zora both end up turbo'd, I suspect they'll _rise._ It's naturally aspirated, so it actually sounds like a proper supercar when wound up.
If it’s in the 300k section it’ll line up with the McLaren 750s so um yea they better have their ducks in a row.
Some Z06 are starting to get sold at MSRP already. They've already dropped and will continue to until MSRP is the norm.
Did GM hire someone off of Fiverr to make this clip?
TROLL
More like Fourerr. When Dodge had the build-up for the 170, it was entertaining.
@@gentryhansen9020 A penny
@@gentryhansen9020Tbh Dodge’s new EV charger unveiling sounded like it was written by AI
Probably written by chat gpt and edited by an intern
7th gen camaro ? I need.
If GM doesn't decide to spin it off as a standalone EV with the same name. With the Future of the LS still incoming, it would be a wasted opportunity to not develop a Seventh Generation model to succeed the Alpha II Gen6.
Not going to happen. They have no reason to bring it back. People just aren't buying enough of them. Tough cookies!
@@Eastsidegeorgiaboythey aren’t buying them because Chevy, for all their wonderful engineering they put into the 6th gen, did not *market* it.
Chevrolet people, don’t listen to this guy. People would buy a 7th gen Camaro if you make it look good, burn rubber, and you *market* it.
@@UnNotAnon That's what I always said. Hardly any marketing for such a great car
Same. They poured a F ton of money into their Small block factory yet they discontinue the freaking Camaro??? I was going to buy a new one when my new Silverado is paid off..... sad
OHHHHHHH BABY....can't wait to hear more about this car!
It’s definitely a twin turbo 5.5 liter
It'll be super charged hopefully
@@GregJohnson420 Hopefully but they want the ZR1 to compete with Ferrari and McLaren so it most likely will be turbo.
@@ABthatMan_ yea I thought about that to man they definitely want to compete with McLaren for sure. But still a supercharger would be the best route
@@ABthatMan_ The thing is, the Z06 is already competing with Ferrari, at a fraction of the cost. The ZR1 will definitely be in competition with McLaren. I wonder what the Zora is gonna be like, it’s gonna be insane.
@@Tarantuladude217 You think a Z06 can compete with a Ferrari 296???? Lmao. How? LOL! The ZR1 prob won’t be as powerful.
The legend continues
Can’t wait to see it. Also make a NON EV Camaro!!! I love my ZL1 but would like to see what y’all could cook up with a 7th gen ZL1.
Camaro is dead incase you didn't know. Chevrolet killed it again
I had a ctsv and would buy a zl1 without any hesitation if they made it again.
@@coreyschaos6978 For the time being, yes. Chevy has already hinted that the Camaro nameplate will return.
@@coreyschaos6978 probably just retooling stuff,
Notice how Chevy lists the performance, Stingray, ZO6, E-Ray, and then ZR1, is it a turbo 5.5 DOHC V8 or is it a naturally aspirated 5.5 DOHC V8 from the ZO6 with the E-Ray's front hybrid motor setup, guess we all find out sometime this Summer
I think they're just showing off their previous lineup, and pointing at the ZR1 joining that lineup. Induction holes on the nurburgring cars indicated turbos are all but guaranteed.
5.5 LT7 FPC TT V8. the Zora will be a hybrid version of the ZR1 with the LT7 and 2 e-motors. Supposedly there are test mules of a hybrid Z06 variant running around that people are mistaking for the ZR1. There's also some chatter about a potential Grand Sport version as well. It could be possible the Z06 hybrid model could be the Grand Sport (or something entirely different, we'll have to wait and see.)
Hmm, is the engine noise in the beginning is actually from the car, it doesn't sound like the 5.5 litre.
It would have to be. It's much quieter and muted than the Z06, which suggests the addition of turbochargers.
this will be an electric car
No it won’t
Could be the 6.2L from the Stingray but with some upgrades, since it growls more than the higher pitch 5.5L.
@@diesel7.315you must be dumb, they already did that with the E-Ray as a flex, it's not an 'innovation for future models' as they would say.
YESS! ZR1! Can't wait!!
I can't believe it's finally here
Don't sell the C7 ZR1!!!
But, nearly 2x the downforce and 100hp more is very tempting
No, you will wait...just like all of us waited for the C8, Z06, eRay...waiting will be the only guaranteed part of obtaining a ZR1! 😉
Hey Justin when you get your ZR1 I got first dibs on your Z06😃
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! THE V8 IS ALIVE AND WELL IN 1984!!!!
The "unthinkable" already happened.
It's called *_Hennessey Venom F5._*
If the new ZR1 got the same powertrain as the Cadillac V-LMDh, that would be insane! 🔥🔥🔥
She said if someone showed us kindness it's good enough to save em she will do her best
I am so ready for this!
Really hope this isn't disappointing 🙏
If it’s based on the current (not a) Corvette, it will be.
800 plus horsepower no way it'll disappoint
Every version of the c8 just keeps getting better and better. I don’t see how this could possibly disappoint in any way. Unless it was full electric…
Oh you'll be disappointed alright. Unless you like electric
Inline 4 w/SC+ Hybrid Drive
Will be a screamer for sure
Definitely NOT a flat plane crank engine judging by the sound. Sounds like that mama’s home cooked Chevy small block and I’m down for that 💪🏿🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥👍🏿
Sounds like a turbocharged LT6 to me
Another suggestion... why not just replace the Camaro with a more budget minded, manual successor to the C7 using the same chassis? You could sell a "budget" front engined Corvette that is more driver oriented like the Toyota GT86/BRZ for around $45,000 starting price, undercutting the Mustang in price while looking more exotic and athletic. Also giving a ton of special appearance options that you know people will pay for that will likely bring the average transaction price WELL above the $45k starting price. Make some special editions every year, like the Challenger did. The hype alone will once again fill the order books for years if you make it look desirable enough. And it won't cannibalize sales because it targets a different type of buyer. One that prioritizes steering feedback, a manual transmission, and a more lightweight, bare bones feel like the C5 and C6 had. Something with some drama. The C8 is on the cutting edge. This would be a lovesong to the past that we all miss and love. You can make it work, you just have to believe in it. Do it in secret like the guys did with the C5 and then just show it to management and hope they fall in love!
I hope you know that what you just proposed is sacrilegious to not only the Corevette name, but the Camaro name as well. The Camaro is a muscle car, not a sports car. And the Corvette is the affordable American supercar, not some GR86/BRZ competitor. I’d rather Chevy come up with a different name for both vehicles if they really wanted to make something like that
@@mrsoisauce9017 He’s on the right track with his thinking though. For years there has been a push to make Corvette its own brand. I would DEFINITELY buy one with the philosophy he’s describing if I wanted a GM muscle car. I’m set between a used C7 Z06 convertible or the C8 for my next car 💪🏿🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥👍🏿
@@dabro1569 dude, Corvette as a brand just won't fly. At all. The Corvette is a model of car, and that is all it needs to be. If they really want a performance brand, they can bring back Pontiac. Or even better: make a new brand and bring the Corvette to that lineup. But for the love of God, do not turn the Corvette into a brand. All that's going to do is sully the prestige of the Corvette name
@@mrsoisauce9017 Bring back Pontiac?! That was RIGHT in the feels my dude. I bleed Pontiac red and always will. One of my projects I wound up abandoning due to family needs was to take my LS2 out of my GTO ( which a county bus totaled) and put it into a Bandit or Knight Rider. When Trans Am Depot started converting Camaros into Firebirds I drooled. If I could get a brand new Trans Am based on the 69 retro vibe like they did for the Camaro, I’d have it in my garage NOW 💪🏿🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥👍🏿
@@dabro1569 if I'm being completely honest, I believe Pontiac still has a place in the modern GM lineup as the performance brand of sorts; an American muscle-focused brand to rival the likes of modern Dodge. And they desperately need it too, because Dodge currently has no real competition. Sure, technically the Mustang and Camaro count, but realistically, they're such different cars to the Challenger in philosophy that it's not even worth comparison. Only a company like Pontiac or Plymouth could make a car that can truly rival Dodge's purebred muscle cars
This thing is going to be an absolute MONSTER
When do we get a C8 with a manual?
Amen
I don't think we can simply because of the chassis. The Backbone style has the most strength in between the seats, hence why the huge console is... huge. A manual penetrating that console would ruin the strength in the chassis, making it feel like a blob rather than a sportscar.
Probably never. the transmission is an automatic controlled manual gear box. Synchros gears and all. Just the clutch is auto.
Here are my predictions for the new ZR-1.
5.5L Twin-Turbo V8 (Not a Hybrid)
800HP+
0-60 in around 2.5 seconds
210mph+
$150K+
No doubt a 3ZR with bells and whistles and the inevitable ADM, $300k+ easily…
I'm excited for this guys, great work on the C8 platform! It's already a HUGE success! If I had to make a realistic wishlist for the future that I believe a lot of customers would love, it would go something like this:
A more stripped down track car for the streets, A widebody Grand Sport option, purple and teal, maybe even some chameleon style paint options or even a custom paint color option, and an LT6 crate engine for purchase.
You n have the Duntov edition still in the making it will be the most powerful Corvette ever 1100hp electric motors up front v8 in the rear very high HP
You made her happy she said life will always survive for that
Amazing ❤
Elders from the entire us have been happy every since this drop
Most rumors to-date suggest the new ZR1 will use a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8, but we should see the output cranked way up to 800 horsepower or more, and possibly up to 800 lb-ft of torque as well.
It definitely sounds twin turbocharged. Much quieter and more McLaren-like of an exhaust note than the shrieking Z06. I'm excited.
This info has been floating around for more than a year.

True Johnny apples. However there are many dreamers, that don't read. Are not up on the numbers. Thought I would post it for them.

Nonetheless 7 people found that interesting. As new news, not everyone is so informed. Some are dreamers.
Some don't read. I had no idea until yesterday what the output of the fourth generation Coyote engine had. I was blown away. Tested units were 480 to 500 horsepower roughly 425 foot pounds of torque. I haven't checked in a while. Even if old news, never hurts to inform people as long as it's accurate.
That does not sound like a flat crank. Anyone else??
Definitely does not
The turbos might have changed the note
Choked out sound because of the turbos
I agree. Much deeper tone like an American Sports Car should sound. I love the performance of the Z06 but that’s not the sound I want coming out of a corvette. I’m a muscle car purist like that. 💪🏿🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥🇺🇸🔥👍🏿

Hey Chevy this is great and I’m really happy for the rich 65 years olds who will be stepping in the new ZR1.
Now can you please make a 7th gen Camaro? I love my LT1 but one day it will be old, and I would gladly buy a new Camaro at that time.
Please don’t let Ford and Dodge carry on their two door Muscle cars in some capacity while Chevy sits and does nothing with the Camaro nameplate.
That IS their job. Corvettes move fast and if they don't improve there's very little reason for a person to get a new one. Marketing can't do better?
Hoping for a production model with 4 digit hp. It'll probably be marketed with 998hp but with a pulley and a flash it's going 1000+hp . Hopefully it stays Supercharged and no electric b.s.
GREAT VIDEO VETTE IT NEEDS TO BE A MINIMUM 1000 HP
That will be for Zora
Get your cargo shorts and new balances ready boys!
I hope this c8 zr1 at least has adaptive cruise control(acc) such as Cadillac super cruise as it is pain to drive any c8 models in heavy traffic with manual intervention. It is really surprising to see c8 missing acc which is present today even in basic car for additional price. Chevy should consider both sides of equation with respect to non peak traffic when it is fun to drive any c8 models but when going to work or coming back from work during heavy traffic it sucks without acc. Heavy traffic is becoming the norm across major cities and towns. I hope Chevy understands this and incorporates acc in c8 zr1 and zora. I heard that Chevy told it is a challenge to include acc but for z06 they went out of box and made design for driver to hear engine noise better inside cabin. Why can’t they address acc challenge and include it. This is desired by not just me but lot of folks based on what I read in c8 discussion forums.
Also get ready to be tracked and then your info sent to insurance companies so your rates skyrocket.
Imagine the 5.5L LT6 twin turbocharged with the hybrid assist from the eRay.
Don't forget the mandatory $100k markup that Chevy will turn a blind eye to.
I still feel bad for the C8 owners that ordered their cars at 60k and got bent over with another 50k markup when their cars came in.
I can't believe people are paying the markups. There's dealers that sell at MSRP. Yeah they're hard to find, but they do exist
Can't wait 😎

The adjusted dealer markup is coming this summer 😂😂
21 seconds and not a single picture of the car. Gee thanks marketing team...
Just give Chevy an Oscar already!

What about the C7 ZR1? Why has everybody forgotten the middle child?!?!
Ironically the Chevy Blazer EV video released after this one got twice as many views.

The Mid-Engine ZR1 is coming!
I can see this car going for close to 300K, the way the dealers have been marking up.
Time flies it feels like just yesterday the C8 generation came out😢😢❤❤
Probably same flat plane V8 as Z06 just with 2 turbo’s slapped on it. And im here for it 😮💨. My guess is 800-900hp range
Let's hope it's worth the price! Would be nice if it had a manual transmission, but it probably has paddle shifters!

People that can't afford a new Toyota Corolla, should not be making comments on this vehicle. Just my opinion.
