Damn, this is one of the most visually gorgeous racers I’ve played. Exploring the city, full of traffic, pedestrians, beautiful lighting and small details everywhere. It’s a sight to behold and a massive leap from NFS Heat

One thing that I find pretty interesting about that scene of A$AP Rocky racing against what appears to be the player is that the cops are actually blocking the road while the race is happening. If this is in the actual game, this can definitly make races more exciting and challenging.

the studio behind this "need for speed" is the same one that was babysitting the entire vehicle part of battlefield 2042.
Taking this into consideration they had a lot of service until after the release of battlefield.
They had to run after solving several problems that came along with the release.
This need had information leaked for some time and they took too long to release the trailers and open the pre-sale, so the game is delayed and sources indicate that they are putting several studios to rush the end of development. Do not put too much hope in this game right away.
With some research you can easily find sources that affirm this information.

The style is giving me some Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse vibes and I'm ALL for it!! NFS have always been about arcade-y over-the-top fun. It's at it's best when it embraces it's own silliness and just has fun. I mean, look at how goofy Most Wanted 2005 was -- it was the best in the whole franchise! I'm liking this so far

Well, from a cosmetic side...it seems to be extremely freaking awesome. Criterion made the big mistake in 2015 with locking certain customization option, making them only available for a few cars. Ghost with Heat changed that, so hopefully this need for speed will be the heaviest in terms of customization.

They need to brink back Underground/Midnight Club type of customization. Too bad that will mess up the number of cars in a game tho, since it would take so long to make the interiors, body kits, and tires to look nice for each car.

This just seems like they're trying to do "new and bold" for the sake of "new and bold" when it clearly doesn't fit in with the franchise if you look at it's history (excluding NFS nitro on the wii...). NFS was always grounded in reality but this just seems like some sort of weird alternate reality where everything looks realistic except for humans and car effects, it makes no sense.
Artists and designers resort to as i said "new and bold" for the sake of "new and bold" when they're otherwise out of ideas.

Criterion’s design from Burnout into their stint on Need for Speed was to make cars that had a significant weight to them, although they played more loose with this in the Burnout era. When you crashed, bits of the car would fly everywhere and your car would turn into a ball of steel and glass tumbling down the road. Cars weren’t easy to turn oftentimes and you really needed to make use of drifting which didn’t put you sideways instantaneously, but gradually. It felt like you could fine tune your drifts very well.
I actually love this trailer so much, the asthetics, the beat. It all looks sick all put together

need for speed heat brought nfs back onto the right path and was my favourite nfs game since 2012. Please don't let this be a huge departure from Heat.
Heat would be good if it was playable with anything else than with controller. I had to refund it after playing for 20 minutes because it just felt wrong on either a wheel or a keyboard. The rest of the game felt fine.

Yo espero estén los arrancónes de 1/4 o 1/2 milla, que quiten las carreras de tierra no me.gustan pero esto es algo personal, más personalización de piezas, si va estar el ciclo de día y noche que sea continuo no que estén separados y un clima más dinámico y esto ya es pedir mucho pero por favor queremos expansiónes de mapa que en estos tipos de juego donde vas a toda leche todo el rato el mapa se queda pequeño por muy grande que sea, con respecto a lo del anime ojalá allá una opción de quitarlo por qué para mí le quita gracia que valla hacer un derrape con tremendos gráficos en el coche y de repente el humo se vea todo caricaturesco en realidad no lo veo con elementos de anime salvo que sean pegatinas y diseños cosas así pero humo y otros efectos eso me tiene muy alerta, solo falta ver el trailer que es lo que me va a decir si mi hype se mantiene o se va pa el carajo
@@yaago Ghost murió por que las ventas de sus juegos eran malas, y sus juegos PEORES, NFS heat intento ser decente, pero Payback (el cual está lleno de micropagos) es un juego ridículamente aburrido, sin alma y con una "historia" que daba un asco bárbaro. Y ni hablemos del NFS 2015 que parece que querían romper el récord mundial del juego con la peor conducción jamás creada.
Además este nuevo juego está creado por Criterion Games, los cuales nunca han hecho un mal juego, y no le veo nada de malo al diseño de los personajes, todo lo contrario me recuerda al estilo cómic que tenía NFS Underground 2.

Looks good, would like to see what they are doing about the drift mechanics since that is 1/3 of the player base. Race aspect looks good as always.
I appreciate how bold and striking the visual style is, hope the rest of the game will have this kind of strong direction

I really hope they don't let us down. I hope they keep the customizations and they don't go to kid friendly by some of the post I've read online about attracting younger audience and the customization is going to be like Forza to where you can only choose one through six body styles and that's it
I highly doubt customization is going to change drastically from what has been established for the last couple of games.

Not a fan of the cartoonish onomatopoeia but I hope this game ends up good. Please do not disappoint like 2015 and Payback.

@@idinfinity People are gonna hate on us but I agree with you. This art style is trash. The ingame graphics are trying to look realistic like previous games but the characters are cartoony and cell shaded.

Where does this Need For Speed look to be truly Underground? Just because they put in some funky dolls with colored hair and a custom car, is this now considered real underground culture? This is nowhere near what NFS 2015 was like, with its true automotive culture with Akira-Nakai and his Porsche RWBs, even Ken Block with his Hoonigan cars; because this is automotive culture.
Want a Need For Speed that has a colorful and even funky graffiti style, but is still great? Just get the base then Need For Speed Pro Street. Now this NFS looks like NFS Nitro only forced and bad...
