A visiting poet from Australia, in 1997 I was priveleged to share the stage with Waddie Mitchell & I will NEVER forget his performances. Waddie presents his poems just like he's leaning over a fence having a relaxed conversation. There's no sign of the common ''dum de dum de dum'' of some performances of rhyming verse...to the extent that it can be difficult to ''spot the rhyme.'' The man is BRILLIANT!
I listened to the Walking man a hundred times and it gets better and better, I actualy cried after listning to this, Waddie shure can get to your heart
Waddie is one of the finest poetry performers on this planet. It is great to have his work available on UA-cam. May he keep at it for another few decades of cowboy poetry gatherings.

Wow. If this doesn't bring a tear to your eye, you're already dead inside.
I have always enjoyed Waddie's poetry. The first time I'd ever heard him I was living in Wyoming and working on the Paradise Ranch, north of Buffalo.
Thanks Waddie,
always makes me think of horses of the past.
Great. Thanks.
