  • A video of St Mary'schurch, Byfleet, Surrey, produced in 4K (UHD) using a DJI Phantom 4 - This Grade I Listed building dates back to around 1280AD although major alterations were made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The surrounding churchyard has seen around 3,000 burials and a recent survey project by the Byfleet Heritage Society has so far recorded details of many of these on an interactive map and database.
In the Three Acre Field to the west of the church a Vickers Warwick aeroplane made a remarkable crash landing beside Rectory Lane on 2nd January 1945 having suffered an engine failure on take-off from nearby Brooklands Aerodrome. Vickers test pilot Bob Handasyde and his flight test observer and Byfleet resident Bob Rampling luckily escaped injury but the Warwick was badly damaged.

Lived in Byfleet for nearly 20 years. Due to circumstances had to move away. I miss it so much.
