She's amazing, I'm so glad you've reacted to her :) Her whole tiny desk is incredible
hadn't heard of her?? Bryan!! this was my tip top number one album of last year! 😭 i gushed about it with kessler for like two hours immediately when it came out, it was like 2 AM lol. i couldnt shut up about it for a while, its been amazing to see her finally get her stage
Ohhh!!!! That's right! For someone reason I got her and RAYE mixed up somehow. So then it's probable that I checked out the spotify embeded snippets of her album then. But I don't remember this kind of music at all. Is the studio album different?
@@CriticalReactions this is definitely a "campfire rendition", the studio versions are polished pop and all. I don't think this version is actually missing any parts other than the FX sparkles though, it's just the base parts done acoustic. I don't think you'll get as much of that volume variation you like, it's def more traditional pop production. it was produced by Dan Nigro, who's been in pop for a decade now, but really got his big break with Olivia Rodrigo on Sour. he did a couple singles for Chappell, did Sour, then came back and did all of Midwest Princess and then Guts for Olivia
@@azithoth6860 That's a shame but I'll give it a spin nonetheless. Based on that description though I think I'll end up wishing there was a stripped down version of the full album.
Hey! I couldn't help but leave a note here. This album has indeed some tracks we can consider polished pop, yet they are so creative and quite ingenious. Also, there are mixed styles throughout the songs and simply different genres overall. You should give it a try! Wish you both the best
@@mariacatherine3621 It's in my list and I'll probably get to it something this month.
Gotta see her perform Pink Pony Club in front of a huge crowd. It looks like so much fun.
omg chappel roan yesss would love to hear your thoughts on her pink pony club performance on tiny desk love your break downs
I'll definitely need to check out more of her work. Also I love your username. Great throwback
I first found you from your the Warning reactions but im currently going down the Chappell Roan rabbit hole and was so excited to see you reacted to her. I knew you'd like her! She is so refreshing and full of talent!
Glad you enjoyed this one. She's certainly great at what she does and I'm looking forward to checking out more of her work.
Also, I heard The Warning dropped their new album this week. I haven't heard it yet but given how different SICK was I'm interested.
@@CriticalReactions yes it dropped yesterday! My current favorites are Six Feet Deep, CONSUME, and Automatic Sun(although it's the last like 12 seconds that I love and wish they had extended out and moved it earlier in the song). S!CK is up there as well. Just like I think "Good Luck, babe" from Chappell is a near perfect modern pop song, I feel "Six Feet Deep" is a near perfect modern rock song. It's punchy with a very hooky chorus that I can't get out of my head. I'm not a musician, so I'm looking forward to your thoughts when you get to listening!
Ahhhhh I'm so happy you reacted to her!! I've been obsessed with her since she did Coachella
“I don’t want to beat around the bush” . lol. Good one!
Just came from your NeO's Forget Not vid (🔥) Really thought I was going to follow up with the Devour Me next, but saw you just published this.
Chappell Roan's debut is incredible.
I love how feel good fun her music is, and it's nice to see her band having fun. I saw her live last fall and they seemed like a good fit.
Would love to see a reaction for Pink Pony Club, it's another uplifting one.
Kaleidoscope is a beautiful sadder one.
Cool! Very nice video. Appreciate your reaction.
Yeah, this was a pretty cool track. She's a pretty good singer and I really dig the fun vibe this song has. It just makes me smile.
she sound so good
Can you do Pravus by Meshuggah from their Obzen Album? Edit: been a while since you’ve done a meshuggah reaction.
