Hi Mike and Mellisa, I have been following you for years. I recently had open heart double bypass surgery and on my second day after surgury when I realized I was stll alive, I asked my wife to bring my cell phone to the hospital so I could catch up on your videos. I really like them and have not missed a single one. God Bless.
Mike, you mentioned Logger Wade taking a break from UA-cam, and a well deserved one at that!
I know several YTers that have done the same lately. For example "Girl in the Woods" had recently returned from a "vacation" from UA-cam for pretty much the same reason as Logger Wade.
Though she loves what she is doing she talked about how she was feeling pressured to produce content EVERY DAY, and that it was wearing her down.
What most folks don't understand about UA-cam producers is that you are putting YOUR LIFE out there, online, for the world to see. And people come to EXPECT content every day!
Now I know it is a LOT of work to do video and produce content. More work than most people are capable of performing themselves.
It is like the YTers are put under a microscope and are viewed as something other than "ordinary".
I appreciate ALL OF YOU that produce content that educates and entertains us, and makes our "regular" lifestyles just a little more special.
Thank you!
G'day Lonnie, It's good to see your comment , I can understand logger Wade taking a break from you tube he's a fair Dinkum hard working logger sawmill operator who's doing people a favour by showing his pro op and like he said you tube didn't seem to appreciate him anymore well I do 👍.
Hey Mike, 0:52 The Mike Rowe story reminded me of a meeting I had in Austin, TX a few years ago on a rainy day. I’m a Construction guy too so when my Uber Driver pulled up in a work truck I thought it was cool. I asked him what he did and he said he worked construction but when he got rained out he drove for Uber. I couldn’t have been more impressed with this young man. Very enterprising. A lot of guys lost the days pay and likely headed to the nearest bar but he turned the day into a positive.
Mike, I agree with your comments regarding Mike Rowe. He is a good guy.
He does a you tube video, " Coffee with my Mom". It can be Hilarious. She is 85 and her husband is 91. They reside in a independent living facility in the Baltimore area. The episode can contain stories about residents, her and her husband, or Mike. She has written 3 best selling books between age 80 and 85 . The stories bring a smile.
I call it “BookFace”. I only get on to see what my old classmates are doing. Love Mike Rowe. Teardrop campers are not new. Have to ck out what his looks like. 💥Keep the fires burning!🔥😎
Cold, wet, gloomy? They are really just points of reference so that we can appreciate warm, dry and sunny days. All things work together for good...... cheer up! The sun and the Son are ALWAYS there. Shalom/gw. PS I saw the best tee shirt I've ever seen yesterday. They were talking on the news about shark attacks. The shirt featured a cross and read: "My life guard walks on water." ;-))
GOOOOOOOD
AFTERNOON EVERYONE OUT THERE IN OWTM’s VIDEO LAND!!!….HELLOOOOOO HUNTER!!!! 😊
Mike thanks for the product list. I’ve purchased several items you use & all
Have worked out well.
Have a day!
I have been following your channel for years when you had just 3901 small spliter and side by side and while you were moving the slabs I noticed all the equipment you have acquired over the years I was in the construction business and I understand the need to keep buying equipment to make things easier and faster. Have fun and stay safe!
See if Hunter can learn sign language. I had a friend with a daughter similar to Hunter nonverbal. Her daughter was taught simple signs and she could communicate with her family for the first time in 30 years
lol... I read that Mike Rowe story a couple days ago. At the end of his LYFT ride (note: I may get this a little wrong, but you get what I'm saying) the guy asked Mike Rowe how the ride was and he said "It was a Pretty Good Lift". Classic Mike Rowe humor. Love that guy!
That is so true!! Everyone has a story, and you don't know what that story is..
Thanks for showing the pressure washing nozzle, you saved me a bunch of time looking for another one. Love when you show the products you use.
Thanks Mike. Great video when you review all of those items that you use, and answer the most asked questions. I was going to ask too, but now you answered.
I love Mike Rowe's videos 👍BTW, I gave up Facebook a couple of years ago and don't miss it!
I never even started a FB account.
The say you can "un-friend" someone and I do not want to have any part in that.
I need the foam canon; that's a good deal. Thanks for the video.
Hi Mike, Just curious if Hunter enjoys any other fast food shops. 😊 He does seem to have a nice smile and I'm guessing a good heart. What is not as prevalent one way, the Good Lord makes up in other ways. Thoroughly enjoy your videos. Stay warm and safe.
Enjoyed the video. I like storytelling and adventures with Hunter. Stay safe and Merry Christmas to all the family. I need one of the gas cans. Thank you for sharing that.
The Hunt Man! ….. He doesn’t let anything get in his way of a Sheetz run!….. Go Hunter!
Totally agree with you Mike about UA-cam being a grind. I've loved it for years until recently, when my paying job started needing more than 45hrs/wk. Sometimes, you just need to rest; so I have been. Thanks for keeping me inspired to keep going though. I always learn something from you and it keeps me press forward with my own channel. Keep up the great work. 👍
Thanks for the updated list Mike. The foam cannon and wash is great, started using it on the trucks last year after you showed it off and it is amazing. What amazes me the most though, has been the progress at the wood yard over the last several years - from a dozen or so cross-stacked wood stacks and deer feeder to what you have today has just been incredible to watch. Really enjoy the positivity, great family, and overall enjoyment for life you guys always put out.
You talked about renting a big excavator . You mite want to think about also getting one of those single tooth rippers. With it you can tear stumps of all sizes with out digging big holes around them first. That ripper makes short work of any size stump. Look them up if you want.
Gloomy is an understatement for our Pa. weather lately. Looking good for tomorrow though, already got a list of things to do.
Same here in Massachusetts, 3 weeks of clouds and rain on the weekend!!😮😮
Thank you for showing the torches. I ordered two after seeing yours. They are amazing. Thanks. I also ordered four large bags of fire starter. Three for Christmas gifts and one for me. I should distribute them for you in Canada.
I saw Mike Rowes post and it was great - the guy didn't know who he was and I'm sure the story helped him big time
I bought a 3 pack of the Turbo Blue Torches after you mentioned them a few months ago. Love them. Truly a small blowtorch, not a lighter claiming to be a small torch like another one I bought 2 years ago. I already had the radio headphones, great for listening to the radio while working outside.
I've been watching how the place has developed. I started watching when you were building up at the house. I really like the things that you do. It's very interesting ❤
Been busy lately and have had to binge watch to catch up. I put most of those smalls in my Amazon cart. Hoping maybe my family will go there and do their Christmas shopping. Thanks for all you do.
I purchase the Rotating Nozzle and the Turbo Blue Torches in a 3 pack after watchin you use them. Love the two a lot. Thanks for sharing and showing us how you use them. Love your channel. Please keep them coming. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Thanks for listing the products. I want the pressure washer things
MTM ammo cases are great for batteries too. The 556 case works great for AAA and the 500 S&W is right size for AA. $5!
Amen to your comments about most people being good overall Michael. It’s always the one in a thousand people who make you remember the bad in people. Have a great day Michael.
The cost of everything goes up continually. Imagine that my parents bought the home I grew up in for under $30k in 1959 and my mom sold it for more than $100k close to 30 years later after my dad passed. My VW Bug in the early 70s cost $1,200 sticker... it's a collector's item today. First class postage was 3¢ for decades until (I think) 1964 when it went to 4¢... then 5¢... then 6¢ and on and on. Well, if I expect to get a cost of living increase each year, my McDonald's meal's gonna be much more than when I was in high school in the 70s. As a kid, I remember my dad giving my mom 20 buck to buy the family's groceries for a week. Or, as a young driver, giving me $10 and telling me to go fill up the family car at the gas station and keep the change. In the 60s loaf of bread cost... no, I gotta stop... 😉
Same Temps here in Providence, damp & raw. Hello Hunter 👋 Levi, you do great work ! Way to Go Morgans 🏆
Great video, Mike!
One word of caution on the rotary nozzle...as a former owner of a power washing company, my advice is to never, never, NEVER use one on a wooden or composite deck. I've restored dozens of ruined deck by people who tried to use this on wood. These nozzles are designed for masonry and metal surfaces ONLY! Otherwise, be forewarned of potential damage it can do.
I appreciate your efforts and stories. Hope Hunter doesn't turn into a grumpy Oldman 😂😂😂😂 Enjoy the rest of the week
Did you see the podcast with Logger Wade? It's with Dirt Perfect (Mike Simon) on "A FEW POINTS FROM PERFECT PODCAST" and Logger Wade explains why he took a break. When Logger gets to laughing, you just can't help but laugh along with him. Heck of a character.
Hi Mike. I pray you an your family have a good holiday 😊😊 I love ur videos, I get a lift watching them. Lifes not all Rose's. I'm 70. Disabled wife an I lost our sweet Daughter 20 yrs ago. It's a heard fight to handle it every day!! Even with all our health issues 5 heart attacks and a very bad back. Yes it keeps doctors busy lol I'm still lucky as I have the love of my life with me and we take it 1 day at time. Everyone has something going on. Good an bad. You just thank God for each day when you wake. God bless 😊😊
Hi Mike, I bought a space pod camper here in Australia which is very similar to a teardrop camper. These are more square and same to have a lot more room in them. They virtually are a bed on wheels with a little kitchenette at the back. It is very good for me because I am in a wheelchair. I have a four-cylinder car and it’s easy to tow , it only weighs 460 kg, which is not much. You can push it around my hand and most of the campsites you go to now have toilets etc etc keep up the good work. Love your Videos Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia 🇦🇺🧑🏾🦽🌏🦘🐨
You are a good man Mike, your circle is a strong, tight-knit group.
Great story about Mike Rowe. I get what that man feels. I deliver Grub Hub because I took early retirement and don't like being trapped with people not of my choosing. Plus my car is my happy place!
Mike, you are so right, all we hear about are the knuckleheads! I would love one of those “pretty good trailers”! I’m excited about the larger Rexcavator. You are downright surgical with yours, curious how precise the larger one will be. I appreciate the products you went over, ordering the turbo blue. My best to Melissa and baby Bo’s first Christmas coming up should be a lot of fun. Tell the Hunt Man hello!
I was watching your video, and thought you might want to check out a wheel loader called an Avant, they come in various sizes and are used both for log handling and forklift duties or as loaders with various bucket sizes. They claim over 200 implements. I have 2 of them, instead of a tractor….they are great and very efficient at moving things.
I feel Hunt man with those flaggers. Sometimes those can be the biggest delays. But it can also save you from falling asleep and the flaggers waking you up… 😂
hey Mike , were here installing my second car lift 9000 lb two post, best tool i ever bought, you might consder getting one if you have room , maintenance on all our vehicles is a breeze, we use it for racecars mostly but youcan get up to 14000 lb capacity this one cost 2800.00
You should store some IBC totes on top of that container. Of course full ones while drying. Nothing like an almost flat surface.
I saw this story. Mike Rowe is fantastic!! I’ll be darned 😬
I saw you join Logger Wades live. Good ol Indiana boy.
I saw that episode of Mike Rowe. It is 82 deg here in Mesa Az @ 2:30 PM clear blue skies.
The Green mugs sold out FAST. Need MORE stock
Thank you for the video
Thanks Mike.
I read Mike's Post on Facebook. Pretty cool....
By the looks of that snow blower hiding in the weeds ya might want to dig it out an prep it for what’s coming (according to the weather guessers)- take care
Thanks for that list of useful tools 👍 ... I need a few of them!
Funny - I had the same response about Logger Wade at almost exactly the same time you cite. I was getting worried something had happened to him or his family. Good guy so thanks for highlighting his return.
Well, I'll gladly let you have the majority of the snow we get. Snow means ice.....eventually. You hate mud (so do I), but we hate ice up here.
Even though it may seem like the "knuckleheads" have taken over, there's still enough good people around. An awful lot of 'em are here on your channel.
That was a pretty good story about the Huntman. Gave me a nice chuckle.
We've had pretty gloomy weather here too, although, I think I may have seen a bit of a small glimpse of sunshine.......yesterday maybe. It happens so infrequently in winter, I lose track. LOL
Have a great weekend.
Mike we have one of those turbos pressure washer nozzle, my wife got carried away with it on the mower an blew off all the stickers, one wasn’t enough , all of them
Great video! I said the same thing about the 3m head phones. They were $64 like 2-3 years ago.
I actually ordered a 24” WB rake and it came in last week.
Took about 3 weeks to get
Haven’t used it yet but WB should give you a spiff for that. I would have never bought one of if I didn’t see it here. After freight it was around $3,100 was a little more expensive than I figured but isn’t everything now a days
How did I miss you going from the blue splitter to the orange one.
I read Mike's post. Loved it!
I missed Logger Wade. Glad he's back, with a little urging from his friends. I've gotten attached to the channels I watch. I'm glad I've got plenty of clean content to watch.
I love you guys keep up the Great Works!
Hunter just makes things alittle more interesting 😅 poor guy gets frustrated quick and thats not hard to do in this day age so its probably double that for Hunter.
I wouldnt think to much about how ghat flagger felt, hes standing there making decent money to turn a sign pole.
But yes its got to be a bit frustrating for you to when like you said you didnt no what to do and i can imagine its hard but you and Mellisa have done a wonderful job rasing Hunter and learnkng to deal with his differences.
I feel for the whole family and poor Hunter having to deal with his own frustrating disabilities. Definitely praying for all of you for patience and peace 🙏
Thank you for featuring the QC Mate. I purchased one it works great.
Great video, as usual Mike. We love our pressure washing nozzle. It works great. I like those Turbo blue torches. Gonna try one of them. Take care and have a good one. 👍❤️
We all get that way. Have a good day
Hi from Down Under. Our 7 day forecast has Tropical Cyclone Jasper bearing down on us at a fair old clip.
$50.00 for a trunk full 50 pieces of mixed wood. Irvine, California. $300.00 for half of a cord, a good amount of heavy pieces
Mike, please add the grass seed/fertilizer spreader that you have used in past videos. I have tried to find that exact one for the past year. Thanks in advance.
Like your Jacket. Looks nice!!
I like Mike Rowe too. I believe he does a lot of good things.
You are right Mike everyone has a story and you never know who you will run into. I took a trip to Russia back in the early 70s and ran into my history teacher.
Thanks for the great video and interesting story about Mike Rowe. If you have time, I would like to know where you purchased your firewood rack that sits next to your wood burner in your shop. Thanks again!
Across the line from ya here in Ohio...rain snow on Monday gonna get dicey possibly 👍❄️
Ace Hardware and Home Depot have the gas can for $59.99.
Nice video Mike, had not seen Logger Wade in a while, glad you mentioned it. Went back over and watched some new videos... Your 100%, many channels on UA-cam is like a community. Mark Galicic and i chat sometimes with each other, and he knows [or knows of you] and Tom [Concrete with the Hauses] as well. Small world. Little snow should make the ground better for what you need to clear, and stay cold a while :)
We watch because you’re one of us just out here doing our thing
Mike, Logger Wade on Season 4 Episode 2 of “A Few Points From Perfect “ with DP, Farmer Chris and Captain Kleeman hosting. 👍🇺🇸
I'm going to have to agree to disagree with your snow wish. I'm about the same age as you and the farther into winter we can get without snow the happier I am. 😃
Last year I bought the moisture meter and I keep it next to my firewood to check it once in a while. But I didn't pay that much. My pressure washer is a Generac and I can adjust the pressure so not to tear up wood. Here in Missouri the wind is blowing up to 40 miles an hour until tonight so didn't see many deer out at the corn box. The box i built holds 2 5 gallon buckets which I fill up every morning and toss crack corn down for the turkeys.
The turbo blue lighters work great! So does the moisture meter. Well worth the money spent and didn't break the bank for either of them
That's ironic you mention Mike Rowe. He went to school near my home. It's a small world. I lived up near you in New Castle and Ellwood, now in Texas. Lots of coincidences,. Mike made it big. I still have a few relatives living in the area where he grew up. He went to Overlea High School in Baltimore County. My ex still lives up near you. I high-tailed it for warmer weather. No need for firewood down here. It's in the 80's today. Got tired of feeding wood into my outdoor wood stove for too many years. Great you're doing well. I watch when I can. Interesting tale about your 2 pickup trucks.
i do the same thing Uber Eats or Uber freight. when i need a change of pace, i just turn on the app or if I am having a drive across town or somewhere out of town I turn it on and pickup a few deliveries to subsidize the cost of fuel. doing nothing brings in an extra $1500/month and I get into some places that I would not otherwise see. also found a few investment fixer uppers while I was doing it
I like Mike Rowe, like yourself Mike, he’s one of the good guys!
Hey thanks for keeping me company I enjoy everything you video
Mike, your schedule has mine way off. lol I told my wife on Tuesday I have to drive to Cranberry Township to see if Mike is Ok. She was Like WHAT! Then I explained and she laughed and called me crazy!
I know I like to follow you since the very beginning of your channel and I've made some pretty doozies the comments but remember for every one good idea there's nine bad ideas sometimes people are just talking off the top of your head to give you comments comments for the algorithm keep that in mind specially when people say stupid stuff and then don't realize it at first but it's already sent into The ether
How much was the window on the tractor door? If you have said and I missed it I'm sorry.
Amazon is adding their shipping costs in the price obviously. 😮
and costco just had the spypoint flex camera for $89, I bought a 2nd one. They are nice.
Great video!
Yup! I believe this is a corollary to the "Scotty Pinciple" in the engineering community - in honor of the star trek engineer that had to put up with captain kirk cutting timelines in half.🤨
Mike - Good idea on the "what we use" updates!!! Please do ...
Liked the updated what we use …I saved it for reference for future purchases. Happy holidays to you and the family. I have been following for at least 3 years. You do a good job of providing content and appreciate your willingness to find both sides when having a political comment. I too am concerned about Both parties growing our national debt. As it grows and we spend more money on paying interest on the deficit it takes away funds that could be used for value added projects .
Hey Mike great stuff. Mike Rowe will help make him famous. I saw that gas can on Amazon for $65.00 for a 5 galon gas can OMG. Hello Hunter keep those flaggers moving. Thank you Mike Ed in Partlow Viginia.
Hey Mike. Please add the grease you use to the list of the items.
Thanks for the referrnce to Logger Wade.
When filling IBC TOTETS. Try blocking the IBC TOTE up on 2 PALLETS! Levi ‘s BACK will thank you for it!
Wouldn't be a bad idea to have a kiln. When you're not drying lumber you can put the touts in there.
Good afternoon Morgan's from a cool and cloudy Gulf Coast . I was wondering if you got your window replaced on your older tractor.
