Great to hear you had a nice birthday with your friend. I see y’all are still “buzzing” 😂. Hope the “ man with the sledgehammer “ doesn’t hit you when you wake up. 😂 So happy you enjoyed your gift, wish I could be there. Thank you for doing EPICA for me. You might want to change the title, because Anneke van Giersbergen is NOT featured in this song!!! Love y’all. ❤
Happy birthday and wishes for many more! Once again Epica proves they are THE premier symphonic metal band. I love the contrast between Simone and Mark's vocals, and the musicianship of the band is awesome. Visually impressive video, the band shots were great, fantastic outfits, but not sure what the old dude had to do with it. Éire go Brách, “May your health be like the capital of Ireland - Always Dublin.” Great reaction, stay safe, God Bless, keep rocking.
The lady singer is Simone Simons. The growler is Mark Jansen, also the composer. If you want to see Simone fall victim to the Death spirits (sung by her Epica band mates) then check out Ayreon Cosmic Fusion, live from the opera Into the Electric Castle.
I really liked the contrast of the singers in this song. And the song was also a good mix of melodic, as well as heavier metal. Thanks Souls for the reaction!
Anneke has repeatedly appeared on stage with Epica and sang the song Storm the sorrow and others with Simone. Also both of them pedi together in the Ayreon project
Tomakazi ,Did you have a good birthday? From the newest album, Omega. Abyss of Time-Countdown to Singularity ,written by Mark Jansen ,is the first full song on the album. The minute and a half intro track, Alpha-Anteludium, this ,and The Skeleton Key are the first 3 album tracks and the first 3 tracks at the Omega Alive show, so you can see it (almost) live. The album title track, Omega- Sovereign of the Sun Spheres, is the Omega Alive closer.
I don't think Anneke has ever been featured as a guest vocalist in Epica. Maybe at some live shows... But hey, at least they didn't try to pronounce her last name, so it's all goed.😄
🇫🇮❤you & this song, which is among Epica's top ten for me. P.S. No Anneke though, but should you want to fix that, this is a great way to do it with a song from a live show that inspired the 16-years-old Floor Jansen to become a metal vocalist: The Gathering - Strange Machines live Pinkpop Fest(1996) Remastered ua-cam.com/video/1HUMwinV2AQ/v-deo.html

This is from the last album - lots of good pieces to react to. I'm sure Frank can provide the links - else, I can :o)
this golden suit is the best thing I've seen on Simone 😁
heys souls happy sunday
This is a great song and video, probably my favorite by them!
That's not Anneke guys it's Simone Simons who is the vocalist of Epica. Keep up the good work lovin it.
They know, they just made a mistake with the title. They mixed it up with the next video from Within Temptation, were Anneke is featured. 😂😉
@@frank1963 And they butchered her name anyway 🤣
@@cancelled_user yep , probably because they celebrated a little too much. 🍺🍻😂
