I used to have a field to table book that covered hunting methods and field dressing for birds and big game and had recipes for making Venison breakfast sausage and the main ingredients were ginger, sage, salt, pepper and bacon ground into the Venison and it was really good
I live about 25 miles north of Brainerd and will be making this recipe very soon. All of those ingredients seem perfect. I'm going to just do the patties though. I put about 1/3# in a Ziplock sandwich bag and smash it to flat to about 1/2" thick in the bag, and shape them. Freeze them that way so they are ready to fry. They stack great in the freezer too!
I sprinkle my seasonings over my chunked meat before grinding it sure helps to mix and spread the seasoning. And then run it back through grinder with coarse plate like advised. Works great with straight pork or a pork and other meat mixture.
Damn I love this thanks brother! I’m with you on the thyme! Good in hamburgers too I call them thyme burgers! Really really love your channel! I hope everyone’s doing good God bless!
I never met you. This UA-cam channel was my introduction to you. I miss you, though. Fly high with them angels, brother...

Through a chunk of bread at the end to push the meat out and help clean the grinder
That's a really good idea!
I have to prep a while for this but when I try it I'll be on here sharing with my friends, I do this one in a few months. THANKS
Loved the video! Thanks for sharing!
Very useful ...looks better than high mountain seasoning that I use

@@CookingwithShotgunRed I've got it all mixed up and in Fridge marinating now. Can't Wait to have some. Lol.
Sheila seems like the real hero! I like the orange zest addition, and as a Minnesotan I'm forced to like anything and everything that mentions MN.
I need to make some... I will let you know how it turn out.
Thanks for watching!
Might give this a try with real maple syrup instead of the brown sugar.
sounds great!😀💗🙂
Could you suggest this without the brown and other sugars? Love your video but can't do sugars is there a substitute for it?
Splenda
Nice 👍
Thanks ✌
I can’t see the whole recipe in the comment section. Do you have it written down anywhere else.

@@CookingwithShotgunRed I can’t see anything below rosemary. I will try on my desktop and see if that will let me see the whole list
Thanks for doing the spices from scratch. Most of these people are just ripping open a pack of prefab cure and calling it a day.
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching! :) shotgunred.com
Do you have a recipe for smoke sticks without using casings
