Sleep apnea doesn't have anything to do with your breathing being weak. It's your tongue and uvula falling back into your throat blocking your airways.
Would the breathing exerciser be helpful if the cause of the obstruction was a long soft palate combined with a narrow throat? My relative is a petite young woman, very athletic, and it took a while for her to even convince an ENT to test her, because she was so far from the expected OSA sufferer.

Just this is kind of like something that’s been developing overtime because I was snoring a lot prior to all of this. I also lost about 35 pounds so I am continuing to do so to lose another 10 pounds so that I can be healthier. I used to weigh about 235 pounds almost 237 pounds for 6 foot man is not good. So now I’m down to 200 pounds. I wanna get down to 190 but I was told that I should go down a little further between 175 pounds and 193 pounds. I would like to inform that I have been rehearsing for couple of monthsutilizing this snoring solution 4SnoringRemedy.blogspot.com and I had great results. Snoring ceased following the first two and a half months and I have not snored ever since! Neither the snoring or the dreaded sleep apnea have returned. .
I’m pregnant and it has been worse lately. Before that I would snore sporadically, normally only if super exhausted. I know I need sinus surgery once my baby is out. I can feel a spot in my right nostril that feels like it is vibrating kinda just below my tearduct area along the right side of my nose. Since being pregnant, sometimes I feel my throat kinda shifting, I guess closing some? as well. I just did a home study and am awaiting the results. I get claustrophobic and have random panic attacks sometimes if I feel like something is on my face or head that is pulling. Those 3D rides send me into a panic now too and my eyes were recently checked and are fine so it isn’t that. I’m worried about having to wear a mask. I slept very stiffly last night during the home study and couldn’t fall asleep a long time. Normally I can go out pretty quickly and am a heavy sleeper. Lately I have to get up to use the bathroom or shift my hips due to the belly weight from baby. Both of my parents have sleep apnea but they also get panicky especially my mom. My dad rips his off. So they wear custom mouthguards. I tried a mouthguard from the store a few years back for teeth clenching but I woke up in a panic with that in my mouth as well. 🤦♀️

Damn. I was issued a CPAP and the end of December. 😥 Breathing stopped 143 times the 1st night and 151 times the next night. Average length was 56 seconds😵. Would this device be helpful for folks with COPD?
Anything that strengthens the diaphragm will benefit people with COPD. Breathing exercises, strength training, steady state cardio, circuit training, HIIT - these are all good options for people with COPD. The caveat, however, is that you have to take time when you have COPD to build up strength in your diaphragm. You cannot clear liquid out of your lungs (to begin with) as readily as you should, so you have to start off slow - like 5 minutes or less of exercise. And then you gradually increase the length of your workouts until you can sustain 30 minutes of continued exertion. Most doctors recommend breathing exercises + posture exercises + daily walking for people with COPD. As always, it's best to ask a real life physician before starting a training program. So, short answer yes lol.
@@allyourpcarebelongtous8744 Thank you! Mom's on the verge of being diagnosed with that, she (never smoked) has always had horrible asthma. So I was thinking this would be good for her as well.
@@mickyunit just make sure she works closely with her actual doctor as I'm just some random person on the Internet. I drive trucks for a living so I only know about this from the perspective of having to treat my own sleep apnea and the research I did in doing so. If she has other conditions it may complicate her ability to exercise. But in my case I did exercises like these + started walking every day then worked my way up to doing HIIT training. I do that a few times a week just using a TRX and bodyweight and a jump rope. It's drastically improved my breathing and has basically stopped my sleep apnea, apart from when I have a cold or something that obstructs breathing. But it took me around 6 months to build up to that point, so she has to have that long haul mentality.

@@MonoGmc the doctors I’ve seen weren’t that great but I do feel a lot better. The narcotics I take are prescribed to me though. I don’t get high on them but they do mess with my sleep and with my stomach very badly. Although I feel much better now than I did 2 weeks ago. I changed my diet and exercise routine.
My problem is I breathe in but don’t breathe out. Figure that one out. I use a c-pap machine -- DREAMSTATION - which has just had an URGENT RECALL IF PURCHASED BEFORE APRIL 2021. There is foam in the machine to make it quieter but the foam is breaking off in particles that you breathe in that can cause respiratory illness, cancer and death. Isn’t that nice ?!

not just that acid reflux can also causes it
I agree with ur comment. Exercise has no benefit for sleep apnea.
@@sidatadesse fat loss does, fat constricts the throat when you fall asleep
Not true, that's only for obstructive sleep apnea.
Yes Bob, spit it out already I don't have all month!
Ha ha
Would the breathing exerciser be helpful if the cause of the obstruction was a long soft palate combined with a narrow throat? My relative is a petite young woman, very athletic, and it took a while for her to even convince an ENT to test her, because she was so far from the expected OSA sufferer.
Thank you for the very helpful response!
Did they answer your question privately? If so, what did they say?
Would be interested to know as I suspect I have this type of obstruction.
Great explanation and information.

I feel a weird, tugging feeling, and I could actually hear my throat, relaxing, and I also felt something like neuropathy in my left leg. Mind you I do not have heart disease, or any other problems. I used to be very skinny when I was younger and then I started to gain weight when I was living more sedentary life. I don’t watch TV anymore and I try to keep as healthy as possible. No sugar! I stay the hell away from sugar. My favorite drink is water, coffee, without sugar, and tea at times. I try to keep you healthy and walk a lot.
Good for you. Keep up your actions and progress.

Thanks for the great list of signs--plus the lead on what might be a preventative measure! (I’ve always wondered if I should join a choir or take back up an instrument that requires breathing out as a means to improve my asthma.)

Is it true that if you start using a CPAP machine and then you stop using it you'll die? That's what I was told and I'm scared to use it now.

Can sleep apnea cause swollen tonsils when you first wake up ? The past year I've been extremely tired when I first wake up and have to lay there and breathe for around 30 minutes before I wake up . I've noticed a lump in the front of my throat the past month and my tonsils are so big when I wake up then go down through the day
I’m not a doctor or anything but that sounds like tonsillitis. Maybe talk to your doctor about that.
there is a video where a guy talks about doing a sleep study to determine apnea. Apnea was causing acid reflux and his throat to swell from irritation. He has to use a cpap machine now and all other symptoms went away. I have all of this also and am trying very hard Not to use cpap.

Why are people saying the audio is bad? It sounds great!
Probably because it sounds like it's recording off the camera audio rather than the mics they have on.
Great guys.
Where do we get that device and how much?? Couldnt find it ..so many links. Where is it..ok found it. Thx.
Thank you Bob Brad great information once again🌵
I love these guys
Wow the production quality 👌🏼 get on the phone to Spielberg I’m sure he has a spot for these guys 😂

@@allyourpcarebelongtous8744 yes, I'll definitely make sure sure consults with her Dr. I'm glad you found improvement with your health issues. Thank you for sharing 😊
