"Piri" is the last part of the Nightmare Arc (their Japanese release "Breaking out" can be seen as an alternative ending). In "What", the girls have been searching for Yoohyeon, and here they find each other again, but in the end they are all stuck in the white dimension. A Piri is a Korean flute that was used historically to signal danger, and that is what Yoohyeon does here when the members arrive. She is the one capturing them one by one, to rescue them and bring them to safety. They are together in the end, but still stuck. Dreamcatcher don't do happy endings. 😉
A piri is a type of woodwind instrument, historically used as a warning of danger.
That was Yoohyeon's hand, pulling each member into the White Room.
The Insomnicsy channel is a wealth of fan-made compilations by our resident genius and "vice-president" Kit (Jiu called herself as the president of the Dreamcatcher fandom InSomnia (in dreams) lol). Kit's guides seem to be the most spoiler-free guides out there. There are 7-minute guides for each member for each year, beginning in 2021.
Funny compilations from Kit include the "Dreamcatcher Unfiltered" series among many others, and she has a "Chemistry" series that pairs each member with one other, showing the dynamics between them.
There are also many other DC fan-sites with their own compilations.
One of my favourites by Insomnicsy is Dreamcatcher Mukbang series episode 2: Hamburgers., where we see just how much Gahyun loves burgers :D
The flute sample you felt like you heard before has been used in other songs by other groups as well. I forget who and what though.
I think the guides can generally be sorted into two categories: the ones that tell the history of the group (typically full of song spoilers, so they're best to either save for after you've reacted to the videos up to the production date of the guide), and guides that introduces the personalities of the members. The queen of the latter type is definitely Kit, aka Insomnicsy. Her "This Is..." guide has one guide per member + one for Dreamcatcher, per year. But you won't really learn facts. It's not the type of guides that tell you where they're from, what they studied, what their favourite are, etc. You'll love them, but you'll probably be even more confused after watching them.
That said, watching Dreamcatcher clips always makes people say "That's just out of context, I need to watch the full video". Then they watch the full video and realise that the context just further emphasises how weird they are.
Makes sense, thank you for letting me know. I’ll probably get to a guide somewhere in the future once I have watched enough of their MV’s. And the funny out of context moments, I don’t mind reacting to now but like you said I will most likely want to watch the full videos after 😅. But I can also postpone watching their moments too if it is better to start watching those kinds of videos after I’m more acquainted with the members.
@@marycollective8202 I'd say that a good way to get acquainted with the members is either to watch some shows they've appeared at (maybe Studio Moon Night or After School Special). The other option is watching the This Is Dreamcatcher videos, since they are about the entire group.
Other than that the music videos for Sahara, Poison Love, and Break the Wall are all great ways of seeing their personalities.
@@marycollective8202I'm going to list the titles/singles you've not seen in chronological order and where the two main big guides that are still relevant slot into that list. The 2021/2022 guide is still my favorite but both are really good. The guides have sections that give snippets of each of these.
Full Moon - 1st anniversary fan song
Over the Sky - 2nd anniversary fan song
Deja Vu - Game Collaboration with Kings Raid
