Je ne comprends pas, est-ce qu'il s'agit de la Messe Tridentine ou du Novus Ordo? Ca resemble putot la Messe Tridentine, mais le Gloria n'est pas dit a l'autel.
@@BrandstonHodal Well if that's the case then they are mixing elements of the Old Missal, because they genuflect each time they pass by the centre rather than just bow, and they are using altar cards. This is not allowed, they have to use one or the other.
@@Lumen_Patriarcharumthe genuflections when crossing the Blessed Sacrament are required by the NO rubrics also. The only reason people tend not to do it is because GIRM 274 in the 2002 GIRM is very poorly written. Read the corresponding rubric from the 1969 & 1975 GIRMs (in the Latin, the vernacular translations of those are entirely untrustworthy) and this becomes clear. The altar cards being there is probably just them being a bit lazy and not taking them off the altar for this Mass, not great but no harm done. The actual rubric violation here for the NO is the incensation of the priest. He isn’t incensed at the beginning of mass, but only at the offertory.
@@jcers Oh interesting, I will have to look into this a bit more. Thank you for the clarification! Also, why is the Kyrie nine-fold? Do you know if that is allowed?
@@Lumen_Patriarcharum no problem. As for the Kyrie, it is ninefold here because the Kyrie has always been ninefold in the Roman tradition and this parish wishes to maintain that tradition. The rubrics for the NO define six as the custom but permit more (see GIRM 52).
