When I graduated high school and got people in my class to sign my year book, an interesting thing that kept coming up is people complimenting my personal style, saying it was interesting to them. It’s funny how I hadn’t thought much of it before that point (or that anyone noticed). I never followed fashion trends (mostly bc my parents didn’t have much money) so I had to work with what I had and only found articles of clothing that suited me the best while also experimenting a lot with my personal style. I’m starting to think part of it was a subconscious effort to buff a lot of the “trendy” clothes which for the most part I thought were ugly/unoriginal/overpriced plus a lot of it just never looked good on me. I should also mention I got bullied a lot because of some of the things I wore even if there were other people who admired it-so there’s definitely a social factor in why people follow trends to be “socially accepted” by their peers and not even realize it. Everyone wants to be authentic but don’t want to face the consequences of being authentic.
@@audreystrother1163 This write up is everything! I’m sorry bout the bullies but it’s gud u still got compliments bout ur personal style☺️. And regardless u being able to afford trendy clothes or not, standing ur grounds on ur personal style was all that u needed ❤️
i love your voice! and personally i think if you actually enjoy whatever is the current trend, trends really help to emphasize people's personal style, but they also will interfere with it because everyone wants to be the same
@ I got u! Mina Le is a style icon and aesthetically appealing to most people. She recently made a video bout how her style has Changed during these couple of months, and I thought it was perfect example and great “thumbnail” giving I’m talking bout personal style!
Yes couldn’t have agreed more, I agree with all u mentioned. ❤ we have lost our sense of personal style to trends and aesthetics 😢

like for example if a certain style of nails is trending and you like them, it'll be easier to get those nails bc everyone knows what they look like
tysm! 😊 I agree ❤
I think that it is to feel a little bit more like the rich especially the sad beige moms trying to look like theses rich people
@@The-sleepy-cow agreed!
Thnk u so much for this ❤
Welcome!!❤
I get the general msg here, however, I’m confused about Mina Le being an “example” in the thumbnail. Is that based off Mina’s video ?
