Thank you for this. I've been struggling with not being able to set aside designated prayer time recently. Which coincidentally happened since I have tried to take a challenge on praying in the spirit for 10 min daily, since I just began to do so. And Since I took that challenge I have not had the time to do it designated like I want, and I was getting really frustrated. But The Holy spirit told me to just pray whenever and wherever I am when I am inspired to do so. Which has been really helpful especially since I'm very new to praying in the spirit and still unsure of whether I do it right or not. .

This is so true!! Sometimes I feel as if I have so much to pray for and at the same time don’t know what to pray nor even how to begin.. and after I pauze, reflect or read the word the Holy Spirit takes over and the prayer just flows🥺
I have these questions when I'm a new Christian. I'm often in awe when I see my fellow Christians pray, it made me feel insecure and inferior. Then I asked Jesus to teach me how to pray. Little did I know the Holy Spirit is guiding me and teaching me in many ways. The Holy Spirit is more than willing to teach and help us especially if it brings honor and glory to the Almighty Father.
I used to feel that way too when I was a new believer, don't worry, one day your prayers will sound as effortless as theirs, one day a new believer is going to be amazed at your prayers because they'll really be able to tell that you're in touch with all the Holy Spirit and that He guides you in !everything

Prayer is talking to God. Just tell Him your thoughts and ask Him your questions. It is easy. Don't stress over prayer. Your prayer might be different than mine, but we are different people so that's as it should be. Don't compare your talk to God with others conversations.

Amen, sweet surrender to The Holy Spirit. My most fervent prayers usually are in the middle of the night while still in bed, or standing in front of my kitchen sink and gazing out the window at the clouds in the sky 😊
I just like to talk out loud to God. I thank him for everything, ask for forgiveness, ask him for something particular, then just talk to him about what's on my mind. It's kind of like just a child have a heart to heart with their father, because that's really what it is
I usually do this too but then you have others say that God doesn't honor prayers if you aren't "praying in the spirit " , and your supposed to ask him what to pray, and pray what he tells you ( even though most the time I ask for help , I don't get it) so it all comes off very confusing and contradictory.
@ginger5872 you should pray for things that are good and holy and pray for God's will not your own. But when you pray and ask for something you should have pure faith that God is going to do what's right and good and just. I also imagine that God loves to just listen to us talk to him. I believe that just simply talking to God strengthens that connection with the Holy Spirit. It makes me unbelievably happy when I come home from work and my kids start telling me about what all happened while I was gone. They get so excited and happy to see me and can't wait to tell me everything and it makes my heart so happy. I imagine God is the same way when we get excited to just simply talk to him about what's going on with us or what's on our mind
