. I have had this bike since January 2020, and I have yet to actually travel on it. Only local riding (150 mile radius). My Yamaha Super Tenere was my long distance bike that traveled through 47 states, but I sold that last year and bought a new Kawasaki KLR. I have been wanting to take the Tracer to California for some touring at some point. How about you, any travel?
I don't mean to rub it in mate but here in the states the 900GT sells for 12,900 dollars! I purchased mine in 2019 and I didn't think twice about it .5000miles later I'm still smiling! Enjoyed your review and good luck!
I had the 2015 FJ-09, and loved it. That bike took me 45,000 miles with no issues. Might have to buy this new/improved model. The price point seems extremely reasonable.
With BMW launching F900XR, segment is spicing up. F900XR provides electronic suspension, bi directional shift assist, cruise control and only marginally expensive than tracer 900 GT.
I'm the same, the tracer is good size wise but it does look small when you're on it. Fjr is very different, slower handling, and shaft drive. It is roomy though, my 6'4 mate has one and loves it.
I love it so much I Bought it twice, 2015, 2018, average 60km on each. Now on the MT-09. I am considering buying it again. Just waiting to see if the '21 edition would change its headlight to look more like the new tracer700.
@@maxster10 Well I stopped from time to time to take some pictures and to fill up gas. But I also rode from full to empty gas tank nonstop with no issues. I use the standard seat. I was riding across the alps with no autobahn/highway, so I was in motion because of all the curves. If you're driving straight for several hours, the seat gets probably uncomfortable. But there's also a comfortable version and a heated comfortable version avaiable. I'm 1,82m tall and the Tracer, allthough I don't have any issues, is probably not suitable for taller persons.
To get a more accurate picture: I left the hotel between 7-8 am and arrived at the next hotel between 4-5pm. So I wasn't driving too fast, but I didn't go shopping neither.
How can they justify the 6k price jump to over $23k for the next version? While they were great value before, I would suggest they are price gouging to limit demand.
YUP an upright sport tourer that's great for long rides, is speedy, and flicks when you want to play in the twisties. You have to grind down the feet of the center stand or they drag on turns, and add rubber pegs from the FJR1300 to reduce vibration. The key is in an awkward spot, but you won't have to worry about a tank bag or anything hitting it.
Nnnnæ. Afrter trying this bike, like 3 times, I decided NOT to go 4 it. Yes - power is nice to have. Cruise contr. is nice to have..... However, I'm not replacing the NC750X with THIS. If I could affoard the new Ducati V4 Multistrada - with 60000km service intervals - yes, but not this one !
The bike has a very reduced ground clearance but does not behave like a sport bike. Also, all dimensions are reduced (I am 1.84m). With a pillion, the bike drags the foot against the pavement. Bad motorcycle.
It's pathetically ugly with one headlight lighting up, in this day and age?! Why make a nice package and ruin the look by cutting cost in the headlight. This review is unbearable with that hideous noise in the background. Thats not music, it is nauseating!
Apparently I'm a thinking man. I purchased one this past January and I absolutely love it!
Haha 😂 I have this bike too and its amazing! You do long distances??

Cheers mate and congrats on the purchase, but I might point out that $12,900 USD translates to roughly $18,000 AUD. Thanks for watching!

Just bought mine, same colour, having it delivered on Saturday...............I’m a thinker 👍😀
I have a 2016 Tracer 700 and a 2018 Tracer 900 GT and they are awesome. Good bikes. Love em to bits.
Great review. It's the only bike I can honestly say I would willingly swap my aging XJ900 Divvy out for.

But the Engine of the Yamaha is the better one. I'm sure the Yamaha motor lives longer and have more power.
nice review, but skip the music...PLEASE !
I’m six foot tall and 15.5 stone. Which one the FJR 1300 or the Tracer 900. ?? Can you help.

Just spent 1700km the last 4 days on this beauty. I love it!

@@kaecy6 That's amazing! Do you live on your motorcycle? ;) I like the headlight of the tracer700 too. Very futuristic!
That is 425 km per day 😊 is the seat comfortable enough for those daily distances? I am thinking of buying a Tracer.

great review keep the good work!
Go Greg...Great work old mate
Onya mate top vid but where can you grab one in sydney for $16 990
Nice machine, but how does such a moderate screen combine with an open face helmet?
From personal experience I can say, "not well". FF or modular helmet required in my opinion.Unless you enjoy the taste of bugs and road shrapnel.
Less noise then a gs for me.

Brilliant review

An improved windshield, shaft drive, and I’m sold!
I'm thinking this is a good ride. Great review, too!
Great review Greg but not enough to get me to part with my Boldor :-)
I own one, same as this. There great, go buy one.
Yup. Me too. I've owned lots of different bikes but this one sure makes me smile :)
How can u live with that lame 1 headlight look?
Price seems to be closer to $20k as of..
How tall are you?
Greg is about 5' 11" mate.
INFOMOTO cheers mate👍
The Tracer 900 is a great choice for a taller rider. The seat is adjustable to two positions.
i really like the looks and features of these bikes. worried i might not be tall enough though. shite
I'm 5'7 with a 32 inside leg and fit perfectly 👍
MT09 is a crazy bike.
Honda Crossrunner, if build quality counts 😎
Well, i have exactly this bike, and i cant think for shit. But its an amazing bike. I would only trade it for a triumph 1200 or a bmw 1250GS 2020
$AUD16999 where's that? Everywhere I look they want $AUD20K
if just it looked as good as the 950 multi
As a woman, i am also enjoying the 900 GT. Not only men 😂😂😂
