I was introduced to Petra music when I was deployed to the middle east during DS/DS. My then amazing fiancée recorded a tape of Petra music and mailed it to me. I was thankful that the tape reached me. Every time I listened to the Petra mix it brought me PEACE and assured me that God was with me even though I felt scared and alone. I still have that tape from many years ago. It is covered with micro bits of Saudi and Kuwaiti grains of sand, but it still works....and from time to time I take out the tape and play it. I still feel God's PEACE when I listen to it and thank Him that he brought me home safely and has continued to protect me through the years. What happened to my amazing fiancée? We parted ways but I know he continues to provide comfort to anyone who crosses his path. That was his nature, a caring, compassionate, loving man. I am thankful for his prayers, support, and love during that chapter in my life and pray he has lived a blessed life filled with wellness and love.
This song always touches me. It was an integral part of my journey to Jesus. The first time I heard it, I was sweating for no apparent reason. After coming to Christ I understand it was the Holy Spirit working in me through the song, pulling me towards reading the Bible, and ultimately being born again.

I honestly must say from my heart if I never had Petra's music to turn to; when things seemed down: when my mother died, 3 month's after I came to CHRIST. I don't. know, had I not listened to the music of Petra: I probably would have committed suicide, thank GOD, the LORD gave them beautiful voices to proclaim his Wonderful name.

I got saved in 1988 s a Petra’s music was so much apart of my early Christian life we were in our early 20’s their music changed my life it really helped to seal my heart and life into God’s kingdom I am now 58 and living in a third world country witnessing and preaching the gospel still love there music it still brings out praise to God in my heart
Listening brings joy , also sadness because most of my friends including MYSELF have fallen away , My friend asked , why do we all have our own path when there's only one that leads to Jesus Christ , I'm tired of this merry go round, Jesus is coming soon , time to recommit to Jesus .💖
When I was in high school youth group in the early to mid 90's, out of all the concerts I went to, I saw Petra the most times. I was rodie for my pastor's classic rock style band as well.

Look at all the major ministries of the 80s era who crucified PETRA, MYLON AND BROKEN HEART, DEGARMO AND KEY...where are they?? PETRA stayed true and strong while misguided religious folk finally had to recognize Gods work thru them.... And Repent. They lived a better example than I ever did. The Christian army more often than not finishes off its own wounded and disregards Jesus command .....You will love one another....God have mercy on us all....thank you PETRA FOR 40 years of serving Adonai and helping us all beat the system.

Sacred Bovine, this music is powerful. Been listening to Petra since the early 80's when I was a kid and still some of the best music in the genre.....
I'm not a big fan of christian rock but I have a special place for Petra on my musical shelf. They had incredible vocals/composition and their guitarist can flat out rock with the likes of the more famous guitar rock players like Satriani, Nuno Bettencourt, Cheap Trick etc.

I remember this video...in fact I still have the original VHS Petra's Beyond Belief. I saw them during their Beyond Belief tour way back in the day. They are my favorite group of all time and always loved how they glorified the Lord Jesus Christ in all of their music. If you ever buy one of their CD's you'll see what I mean. Every song they write/play has a scripture to base it on. I have almost every song they have ever made. From the old Petra when it was Greg X Volx to John Schlitt.

Petra's songs have a specific way of presenting the Lords word to me, through rock music! The messages of their song are from the Bible and I've never had the Word presented and understood better than the way Petra has been able to do. For that, I say thank you, bless you, and keep it coming!
Petra was as good a band as here have ever been. The keyboard player and guitarists were second to none and they were doing all for the Lord. I was blessed to see them live at Disney world years ago and it was great with the stage in front of the castle. God bless Bob Hartman and all the guys that were a part of something good that blessed myself and many others. I had not been saved long before I heard these guys and was bored with all the old hymns until I learned more about what they meant.
Favorite Petra song. Fan since I first heard of them in ‘76. Helped me thru divorce in ‘86. Literally wore out many and had to replace cassettes. They helped get my girlfriend (now wife) saved on the ride home from one of their concerts in Hershey PA in ‘88. She never thought Christians were allowed to have fun or listen to music. Ive often thought some of those old fire and brimstone preachers did more harm than good.

When i was little i went to a PETRA Concert!!! The PETRA Concert was sooo WILD and sooo AWESOME and sooo LOUD but I LOVED that kind of LOUD SONGS that PETRA SANG... I went to FIVE of CARMAN'S Concerts and one SONG and Video that CARMAN and PETRA SANG was OUR TURN NOW and I LOVE that SONG that CARMAN and PETRA SANG... My Nephew who was 7 years old passed away due to BONE CANCER in 2016. I became a CHRISTEN when i was 8 years old... I'VE tried to commit suicide but that was because i lived in a Group Home now i live at home with mom and dad and the dogs and i try to listen to CHRISTEN MUSIC every chance i get on the COMPUTER and i get on the COMPUTER all the time...

I'm not a big fan of christian rock but I have a special place for Petra on my musical shelf. They had incredible vocals/composition and their guitarist can flat out rock with the likes of the more famous guitar rock players like Satriani, Nuno Bettencourt, Cheap Trick etc.

I remember this video...in fact I still have the original VHS Petra's Beyond Belief. I saw them during their Beyond Belief tour way back in the day. They are my favorite group of all time and always loved how they glorified the Lord Jesus Christ in all of their music. If you ever buy one of their CD's you'll see what I mean. Every song they write/play has a scripture to base it on. I have almost every song they have ever made. From the old Petra when it was Greg X Volx to John Schlitt.

Petra's songs have a specific way of presenting the Lords word to me, through rock music! The messages of their song are from the Bible and I've never had the Word presented and understood better than the way Petra has been able to do. For that, I say thank you, bless you, and keep it coming!

Petra was as good a band as here have ever been. The keyboard player and guitarists were second to none and they were doing all for the Lord. I was blessed to see them live at Disney world years ago and it was great with the stage in front of the castle. God bless Bob Hartman and all the guys that were a part of something good that blessed myself and many others. I had not been saved long before I heard these guys and was bored with all the old hymns until I learned more about what they meant.
I remember listening to this song when i was born again,it really helped me it was so deep and powerful! I love this song!

Favorite Petra song. Fan since I first heard of them in ‘76. Helped me thru divorce in ‘86. Literally wore out many and had to replace cassettes. They helped get my girlfriend (now wife) saved on the ride home from one of their concerts in Hershey PA in ‘88. She never thought Christians were allowed to have fun or listen to music. Ive often thought some of those old fire and brimstone preachers did more harm than good.

When i was little i went to a PETRA Concert!!! The PETRA Concert was sooo WILD and sooo AWESOME and sooo LOUD but I LOVED that kind of LOUD SONGS that PETRA SANG... I went to FIVE of CARMAN'S Concerts and one SONG and Video that CARMAN and PETRA SANG was OUR TURN NOW and I LOVE that SONG that CARMAN and PETRA SANG... My Nephew who was 7 years old passed away due to BONE CANCER in 2016. I became a CHRISTEN when i was 8 years old... I'VE tried to commit suicide but that was because i lived in a Group Home now i live at home with mom and dad and the dogs and i try to listen to CHRISTEN MUSIC every chance i get on the COMPUTER and i get on the COMPUTER all the time...
