I disagree that the tutorial is too long and you give too much information. I am an architecture student and have been using Rhino for quite a while, but texture mapping always frustrates me, because I didn't fully understand all those nested functions, tips, tricks, and the logic of/between those functions. This video helped me so much to understand those points. It takes patience and persistence for one to master a skill.
Isn't there a way to somehow preview the materials before importing them? It's kinda annoying having to just randomly pick from a bunch of wood materials until I find one I like
i have a problem, i choose render option in the viewoport but this dont show the texture in the model, i have to rendering test to show the texture apply, what i do bad
I found if you use the new texture material option of "Picture" it won't render. Instead make a new Custom texture and pull in your graphic to the "Color" area. This renders for me.

How do you rotate one side of the object material ? Material application looks good but i want to rotate one side to a different direction
