      Hey I just wanted to say thank you for this content. Sincerely. This is good MTG content. The interview format helps without being too overbearing like a certain show I loved years ago and don't anymore. I could name it, but I know it's unprofessional for your channel for me to talk smack about others, so I won't.
      This is good content. Please keep the format as it is, don't get too deep into the interview stuff. The mixture of gameplay to interview is a perfect blend as is.

    I've been finding myself more and more wanting to get into pioneer. it seems like genuinely such a fun format, I wish that magic gave more support to their 1v1 60 card formats. like I enjoy Commander but I think this is how magic was always intended to be played and it's the way I like to play the most. with how gross modern is right now especially with all of the horizons stuff and the new Lord of the rings stuff on the way I find myself wanting to get into pioneer more everyday. I'll have to look around for local game stores in my area that actually have tournaments. always love your pioneer gameplays and I'm happy that card market finally gave you guys the dice budget that you were so desperately needing

    • @CardmarketMagic

    I definitely think Yamin should have deployed the Shifting Ceratops earlier to chump the shark token, protecting the Chandra at 7 to ult next turn. With only one card in the control player's hand, and Ceratops being Uncounterable, you have practically nothing to worry about outside of exactly Heartless Act since the Field of Ruin was tapped down.

    which pioneer challenger deck do you suggest to buy?

    • @CardmarketMagic
      @CardmarketMagic  Рік тому

      If you are a new player, I'd recommend the gruul deck. If you want to win local tournaments, the best option is probably to buy the previous year's Lotus Field challenger deck and update it a little, but no one is going to want to play against you casually 😅

    You could try to play A Million blank white cards
    Its a Format where all the cards are blank and you can write any Text in them and they become that card(everithing expect insta-kills is allowed)
    In game 2 you shuffle all used cards back in to the one Deck everyone is playing with.

    Thanks for the video :)
    I have a question. Is there a reason at 10:53 to play the Fatal Push rather than the adventure of Murderous Rider on the end of Jamin's turn ? It ends up not mattering, but the 3 mana spell seems more mana efficient to me in that situation. Is it a light misplay, or am I missing something, something that gives the priority to the Ooze for example?

    • @michaeldibner9342
      @michaeldibner9342 Рік тому

      I mean casting the adventure on Chandra rather than casting the push on the ooze

    • @CardmarketMagic
      @CardmarketMagic  Рік тому

      So it might not be absolutely correct but I tanked on this real hard and cut it in the video. So here was my thinking:
      I had drown in the loch and if I kill the Chandra with the murderous rider, I was afraid of a stomp end of turn once i'm tapped out, so I made the play that let me keep up drown that turn and the next. Also, I imagined that if I killed his chandra, if he had nothing in hand, he would start eating his own graveyard with the Ooze to beat down with it and it would turn off my drown in the loch 😅

    • @michaeldibner9342
      @michaeldibner9342 Рік тому

      @@CardmarketMagic Interesting, I hadn't thought that deep. And if I'm correct, there's only a small percentage of your deck for which a 2 mana difference on your next turn would have mattered, so the downside is acceptable.

    • @CardmarketMagic
      @CardmarketMagic  Рік тому

      You may target a creature. If it costs 0-1-2 to cast, it dies. If a permanent you control died, returned to your hand, or was exiled during the same turn, the creature dies even if it has 3 or 4 total mana cost. I hope this helps? Or does it make it worse?

    Is it terrible that one of my favourite bits of these videos is the "go down and subscribe" part? Love being a genius, apparently 😅. Anyway, not really dipped my toes into Pioneer, but I may have to try the format out if it's as fun as these games suggest. Now, if only there was somewhere I could buy some cards...
