I have read that they did make some changes along the way, making them a little wider now, so your snap cover might very well be an older version :) I have a newborn and mini OS ready for my soon-to-be-born baby, very curious how they will fit!
Yes, my Minty green cover is an older one. It doesn't even have the Puppi label on in. I think making them roomier was a good update. Congratulations on your baby on-the-way! Enjoy cloth diapering. 🧷💜 Heidi

@@klepece The newborn size is incredibly small indeed, they should call it preemie size I think. I only got it, because I found one for a few euros second hand :) Hopefully I'll get a few weeks use out of it!

Hey Heidi! Great video! What did you think of the velcro? Is it easy to open and close? I find a lot of velcro closures are either too strong or too weak.
Hi! The Velcro was easy to use, but my Baby soon learned to un-Velcro it himself. I think I'd only recommend Velcro for newborns, since they don't try to take their diaper off. 😂
For the Puppi wool covers, I recommend skipping newborn size and starting with Mini OS. Then the OS fit a lot sooner than expected based on the recommended weight range. Once you’ve tried them, you might want to move onto OS+ eventually, but no need to purchase right away. I’ve gotten by with 4 covers per size. Not many are needed with wool. 💜 Heidi
Babeegreens are more soft/stretchy/plush. Puppi are trimmer/thinner/ more adjustable. I like having both. But if only choosing one, Babeegreens is still my top choice. They are grown out of sooner, though. I'm surprised that with size M we're snapped out all the way and getting tight around the legs at 5M, almost 15 lbs, and 28 inches tall. I thought we'd be able to use Babeegreens size medium a lot longer.

I just check the size chart and M is supposed to be 6-12M. But he may outgrown it by 6M! I wonder if we got an unusually small medium... Thirsties Duo, Cultured Babies Bamboo Terry, Grovia Stay Dry, Geffen Ultra Absorber, Thirsties doublers, and Pooters inserts as additional layers. I have other "diapering systems" but the above is for all my covers.
I'm considering this diaper for baby two. We used traditional knit wool soakers for my first child. How well do these diapers pair with clothing? Any compression leaks?
@@ashlinnchris920 I think Puppi wool covers would be great under clothing, since they are so trim. The key is to have all the absorbency tucked into the cover. My baby only has one pair of long pants that he wears over, and those are wool. Most of his bottoms are interlock wool. He's more of a "cloth diaper only" "shirt optional" baby. 💜 Heidi
We're ordering two OS+ covers today in each style. I really want to experiment with these for the trimness and dark colors to hide stains from day use on a 2 yo. I tried potty training last month with one success and will give it another go once my son is more comfortable being in the bathroom as he eliminates. I observed that he feared our toilet, he hated me sitting him down on his tiny potty, and he's terrified of his own poop. So here I am nursing and washing cloth diapers. It will all work out though. He won't stay this little forever. So I have to enjoy this stage while it lasts .
I filmed it planning to flip it in the editing process, the way I usually do. But I realized it wouldn't make sense that you can see inside the tops of the diapers if you were truly viewing it from my perspective. So I didn't flip it. Next time I'll have to turn the diapers so they are upside down to me, if I remember... 💜 Heidi
