The Diatron is actually pretty awesome in my opinion. It has a higher capacity than a Roughcut and can be primed with one hand. Also the slow moving disks lend very well to shotgun functionality.
Seriously Drac? You chose the SINGLE SHOT Proton and the CRAPULENT Fusefire over the awesome Vigilon? You didn't even give any real criticism of the Vigilon, which has a super smooth action, 6+1 capacity and virtually never jams, then put the similar Fusefire in at number 4! The fusefire looks great, but it is the jammiest blaster I have ever owned. Not only that but both the front and top magazines both shred the ammo!!!!

The praxer was my most FAVORITE nerf gun but one day i brought it to a party and one of my little cousins put sand in it from the sandbox and freaking jamed it and i couldn't get it unjamed so after that i was really mad

Vortex was/is ultimate in-the-house blaster: disks float-fly far, they ricochet everywhere(no cover is safe) and they softly hit so no damaging or knocking stuff off surfaces. Fav is Vigilon; I feel like a Commissar dispatching heretics. Disk ammo can has Out Of Darts stickers on it cuz, well, when you're out of darts, Vortex!
The Diatron is my go to shotgun. As a lefty, it would seem to be a nightmare to prime; However, with a little practice, I can drop it to prime of my leg and be in fire position extremely fast. I, personally, love the Diatron, it just takes quite a bit of practice.
Watched this video again as I love the Vortex line. You did get over the required 5000 likes so I would love to see a build video of a modernized Nitron. On a side note, you didn’t even mention the Diatron. That was a great blaster that would have been improved with a loading gate for the magazine like those on the Revonix 360 instead of the door.
It's sad that vortex series died I thought it was interesting it was like n strike elite before it if correct me if I am wrong on that but then that day came and elite ended up killing vortex series because it had better range and power I wish there where away Make them like more powerful and also have more range so they can be with elite
I was trying to find a video of the vortex revonics 360.. I don't know ANYTHING about them, except I've used them to scare away the coons and goons without hurting them. I've been a backseat nerfer for years due to medical issues. My first war, I'm showing up with my hoppered Proton, my Diatron, and either my Nitron or Lumitron. I've always had a soft spot for Vortex and I can't believe it's been that long since they stopped making them...
Vigilon is a great sidearm. not only does the internal mag hold 6, but it can also actually hold 7 if you store one extra in the chamber seeing as the internal mag is not loaded by priming the gun

I have a revonix 360 and it crunches when you prime it. It feels horrible to use but it is a cool menacing blaster. Seriously though every time I prime it I think it will be the last prime. It’s horrible.
I owned a vigalon ,that weird vortex zombie strike blaster,a lummatron,revonix 360, and i found a protron while thrifting and my friend Matt traded me a praxis with stock but no mag so i went to toys r us and got a pack of vortex disks and a mag for 5$. I gave Matt a half of a split strike. THE lunmatron,revonic 360,the viglion i all jamed with a quarter. I loved the vortex line hopfully nerf will make new vortex blasters . Sorry for spelling pobody nerfict.

I remember seeing a 3d printable file for vortex ammo on thingiverse. I can confirm the vigilon will fire it with almost no issues (just occasionally doesn't want to go into the chamber) and can say it also hurts much more as it isn't foam lined like official disks. Edit: found the file I used (I had bookmarked the page) thingiverse.com/thing:17423
That last blaster could definitely be a good remake if they took the internal magazine chambers and just rotated them so the disks were level with the barrel when it was ready to fire. If it stayed the exact same size it might be limited to about 24 rounds though.
Amar With aftermarket wires, switches and 130s, don't use IMRs if you can help it. IMRs are bad for basically any system. Throwing them into an overhauled blaster is just asking for trouble. Use 18650 LiON batteries if you can't get/don't want a LiPO/NiMH setup. If you must, though, 3 IMRs are fine. Otherwise with a stock stryfe, you won't get much of an improvement without removing thermistors and resistors, but after deleting those, 2 IMRs will give you a significant boost, and probably won't fry your motors for a while.
