I’m new to handguns and bought my first one last week; a Glock 48. You video very instructional to understand my handgun! I now have the confidence to clean and maintain my firearm!
Motor Oil? Toilet bowl? Are you freaking kidding me? How about step outside and aim it at DIRT? You put WAY too much oil on that slide. Per official Glock recommendation, you put ONE drop along the length of that slide. "3. Spread one drop of gun oil or lubricant along the entire length of each slide rail cut." file:///C:/Users/Owner/Desktop/Wallace%20Stuff/Guns/Instruction_for_Use_G17-G48_EN_112019%20(1).pdf
To be frank even CLP isn't that great for lube either. It constantly draws carbon out of the metal of the gun and will eventually deteriorate it. I've found a synthetic oil like TW-25B tech oil or Slip2000 works best.
Really you clean your gun in the bathroom. Sorry man but that was one of the worst examples of how to clean and oil a handgun I've ever seen. From removing the magazine while the gun is still holstered( what if your holster covers the mag release?) to pointing the gun at the toilet. What about just pointing it at the floor. Then you pass a brush over it a few times and squirt some oil on it and it's good to go. I hope anyone new to handguns doesn't stumble across this. You should take this video down.

You should NOT use motor oil to lube your weapon, use CLP. You can find that at the gun store or the range mostlikly

Man, you need more lighting on your subject!
How a Snowflake cleans a Glock!
