Not a good sign for war.

Why talk to Vance. He hasn’t been a Senator a year yet. They should have talked to Sherrod.

So the strike is a threat to national security? 🤔

@jimmyjames8164- Well Jim, USS Marinette is a Freedom class Littoral Warfare Ship. (LWS-25) That class of ship, indeed; that concept of a role for a combat vessel has proven to be controversial and problematic. Optimized for close inshore as well as open water operations, apparently they excel at neither. You might want to research them and their history, it makes interesting reading. The strike by the Canadian workers is disruptive and a major inconvenience; that’s what strikes are meant to be. I don’t know what their issues are but they’re getting some people to pay attention to them. As for a threat to national security, there are some among the chaps who serve aboard those pretty little ships- (and they are pretty and graceful)- who would tell you only partly tongue in cheek that their presence within the fleet might pose more of a threat to national security than their absence. Statistics, figures, official reports all make their own statements. But what the cats who actually walk the decks just might have something altogether different to say. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

@MichaelJohnson-dt8tv closing down the only route a warship has to travel, and leaving it dead in the water, is in fact a threat to national security. The multimillion dollar vessel is worthless if called upon to do its job.

@@jimmyjames8164- I agree with you in principle. Perhaps the real issue in that regard is the failure of the Navy to consider that possibility when contracting with an inland ship builder to build the ship in the first place. But the point I am making is that according to some who crew that class of ship, and some who write reports about them, they are close to being worthless wherever they are; in drydock or on station. Of course, these are separate issues, but both should be addressed.

Put her next to the Cod and open it for tours. They could use the extra revenue

Has gotten more done than Donny ever did. Donny accomplished filling his bank accounts with our money and stealing top secret documents, yea.

      I think you’re both right. ☺️
Quit being mad at each other and be mad that our elected officials haven’t done anything but create more divide. Both sides.
