I think if you place some sort of rubber pads under the legs of the ladder it might be quieter as one person mentioned and maybe under his shoes would help too like thin ones. Also if you want to be able to turn it off and on from inside you could always use a bluetooth switch. They are about $20.00 at walmart and can turn it off from 60 feet away.
I was seriously considering a “Black Santa” like this one, but I got cold feet thinking my neighbors might call the police and them thinking someone breaking into my house and possibly bullets flying through my windows. Therefore I’ll just order the white Santa for now, looks wonderful. 👍🏾
Just unboxed this. Found your video while looking for assembly/installation videos. I bought this at Best Buy online for $75 in January 2022. I wish I’d known then how loud it is. I probably wouldn’t have bought it. I guess we’ll see how we tolerate the noise. Fortunately, houses in our neighborhood aren’t too close together, but I still need to worry about it being too loud from inside our house. I suppose it might be worth $75 just as a decoration.
For $75 it would definitely be a keeper. $400 = no for me. Let us know how it works for you and if the noise turns out to be something you notice also.
@@FestiveScholar I’ll try to post our outcome. I’ve misplaced the assembly / installation instructions, but I’m sure I can find them online. I just need to find the time to set it up-hopefully before Christmas. 🤣
@@FestiveScholar have you tried anything simple for reducing the noise? Like some sticky rubber pads on his feet or something? You shouldn't have to do anything for that price but it'd be nice to make it work.
Everything is bigger in Texas! ha. I tried using some felt furniture pads and it really didn't make a significant difference. Considering the overall craftsmanship wasn't what I was expecting for the price - I would likely have returned it either way.

Thanks for the video... didn't realize it's that loud 😂

You can pivot the ladder more of a angle to have the very top of ladder on edge of gutter . If to loud put it inside. Merry Christmas 🎄 🙏🏻⛄️
Thanks, Peter!
if it makes a noise like that why would you put it inside?
@@tast7017 cause it’s cool !!!

@@FestiveScholarnow it’s $500.
I bought it after Christmas 2021 for $75 from bestbuy. It quit working last year.
I think it echos more because of the brick wall you have
Nice 😍😍How much cost please ?
They range in price from $350 (the cheapest I've seen) up to $800. I have also seen them on ebay and other secondary market places for less
Also, that looks like way higher than 10 feet??
Nice house bubba.
Would you buy this for $250?
Having tested it out, I personally wouldn’t. I can build a much better, more realistic prop for far less than $250.
😂 😂 your house is too big. Can you apply padding to the ladder or foam under his shoes? Great review.

They came out with a new version that is much quieter.
Awesome to hear. Was an innovative product, and I'd give it another try if they've gotten the noise issue resolved.
How do you know if you are buying the old version or the new version?
i installed mine a week ago on sunday and last night someone tore off the santa and stole him
Wow that’s horrible !
Mean! But was it quieter than this review model?
