Enjoyed the Dolphin review videos. Taking the plunge this evening with the links above for the Dolphin and the Caddy. Live oceanfront in SC and it's a constant battle to keep pool clean with ocean winds off the beach and no screen over the pool.
Congratulations on the new pool and I do appreciate the kind comments on the video. Thank you for watching and hope you have a great time in the pool :)
Thank you for all this information! We have a Dolphin but it came with the house we purchased… I didn’t know how it worked really so thanks for making these informational videos. I love that caddy for it, I may need to buy that!
Am looking into this pool cleaner, saw your video and this looked like a winner until...apparently they stopped selling this unit with a fine filter since you purchased yours, and it doesn't appear as though it is an option. We have no trees close so no leaves. I need a cleaner to pick up all of the very fine dirt so looks like I will have to go to a more expensive unit to get fine filtering.
If you use the link in the video description you will get the "Fine Filter Cartridge" set which is for dirt. This is what you want for dirt/small particles and is exactly what I use. Thanks for watching and here is the link: amzn.to/2UUwxLb
I replaced an M400 with the Nautilus CC Plus. The CC Plus pump failed in one month. I drove to the service center near Atlanta, dropped it off and picked it up two days later. I could have shipped it for free, but I discarded the box. After a few months, I had to replace the foam rubber rollers (4). The original rollers disintegrated - not covered by warranty but easy to replace. I keep my unit in the water all day and run my filter pump 24/7. The CC Plus does a much better job of cleaning the waterline than the M400; it will drive horizontally along the waterline which the M400 never did. I have a heat pump to extend the swimming season in the spring and fall.
Sorry for the problems you have experienced. My unit is almost 3 years old and not one problem but I don't usually leave it in the water. And I have no idea if that makes a difference or not. Thanks you for watching the video and good luck going forward.
Hi I am going to put my year old dolphin plus vacuum into the pool all the lights work but the unit is not working. When I pull the vacuum out should I be able to manually move the tread/wheel assembly. Thanks Tom Cleveland
Hello. I write to you from Argentina. Could it be that this equipment needs different types of brushes depending on the type of material the pool has? In my case it is with small tiles and it is not climbing the walls. He reaches the wall and keeps pushing until he ends up heading somewhere else. On some occasions it raises them and on other occasions it doesn't.
I suspect the title surface does not provide enough traction for it to climb the wall. However, this model Dolphin does not advertise that it cleans the walls where other model do. I have a plastic liner pool and my Dolphin climbs up to the water line.
Great video(s)! Thank you. Question: Did you consider the Dolphin Premier? I’m about to purchase my 1st robotic cleaner and I was heavily leaning towards the Premier.
I didn't want the unit with the Bluetooth, just wanted to keep it simple. I have been very happy with mine and this is the 3rd season and working perfectly. Thanks for watching Jim.
Do you run some cycles with just the mesh or just the pleated filters? Looking at it online, I was under the impression you left both filters in for every cycle. Also, do you ever have to replace the filters?
@@magicalfrijoles6766 I’m starting my third season on my original pleated filters. I do recommend rinsing them before the dirt and bugs dry, once that stuff gets hard it will stain the filter.
@@LandingZoneHome yes good idea, especially as there are just so many different models, I just found out that this particular model is only available for internet purchase and depends on your country so I guess I should see if I can actually find the model first, looking at the European market I haven't seen any interesting options to buy, but thanks
My rollers started turning in opposite directions and they are stuck going that way. Opposite directions !!!!! What do I do. I took it to penny pincher where I bought it and they couldn’t do anything to help. Any ideas??
It’s covered by 3 year limited warranty they should be able to fix it also fyi Leslie’s will do it for free if still under warranty and if not they will do free labor just pay for the parts
I think you are asking about the screen enclosure. Mine has a white structure and it does get dirty and some mold will form (Florida). I have started using a pressure washer using a low pressure nozzle. I can't reach the top most part so it doesn't get cleaned. If you can live with a darker color like bronze or brown you will not have to clean them; or at least it won't show up as much. Thanks for watching and good luck with your pool.
Do you leave the dolphin in the pool? It kind of seem like a chore to take it in and out of the water twice a week. Sometimes, you might forget to take it out. That's literally the only thing holding me back from getting one. We own a pool blaster Max Li so vacuuming is like a two minute job if I stay on top of it.
Sometimes I leave it in the pool. But you do have to take it out to clean the filters. Sometimes I will run two or three cleaning cycles before removing it and rinsing the filters. Good luck and thanks for watching.
I will say I was told on the phone by the Maytronics company that you should remove it at least every other day, clean it and rinse with clean water. To NOT leave it in the pool every day no matter what you’ve heard online
By any chance has anyone have any issues with the robot marking your pool black. My white plaster ends up with black streaks every time we use the robot. We have to use the pumice rock to take them off. 😒
Zero problems and I still love. I actually have it running right now and I can't stress enough how much work this cleaner has saved me. Well worth the money. Here is the link to the model I have and recommend: Maytronics Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Pool Cleaner Robot:►amzn.to/2UUwxLb
Correction- The front roller of my dolphin is now rolling in the opposite direction, the back roller is fine. So now it just sits on the bottom of the pool not going anywhere. Thanks Judy
Thanks for sharing. This was just the type of video I was searching for. A real customer review. Can’t wait to get this!
Glad the video was helpful. Thank you for watching.

Your life is going to change in good way when you get the Dolphin (like mind did). Thanks for watching.
You sir have a golden voice and that outro was $! New pool owner with a young family, and you have convinced me!

Good tip... brush steps the night before 👍
Thanks for the comment, have a great summer.

No, the rollers are locked in place, just make sure the rubber tracks are not coming off. I would call their customer service for help. Good luck.

I have mostly small dirt and dust particles so I only use the pleated filters. I usually run two cycles then clean the filters. Thanks for watching.

What is the blue cord connected to?
The controller/power supply for the Dolphin.
two year update? just ordered mine.
Still running great and I still love it. Guess I should do another update. Thanks for watching.
Hello and thank you for the information, one question I have is do you know if it can handle an infinity edge pool
I think it can but to be sure you may want to call the manufacturer. Thanks for watching.

When the Dolphin has completed its cycle does the power box turn off? Mine didn’t but the dolphin did just stop roving.
Mine does the same. Thanks for watching.

How are you able to take the “brain “part into the house?
I guess it is the power supply, disconnect cable. Thanks for watching.
Can you use an outside extension cord on the box?
It is a low voltage draw so and extension cord should be okay. Thanks for watching.
It says NO in the Maytronics manual!
I still brush the bottom and walls once a week. There are nicks and crannies that no automatic cleaner can get to.
And especially the steps. Thanks for watching.
Should you have your pool running while the robot is on?
It makes no difference. When I get ready to clean I don't event think about it the pump is running or not. But a good question.

I didn’t know the nautilus cc could run with nano filters
It does have pleated filters but not sure if they are nano rated. Thanks for your comment.
Correction- The front roller of my dolphin is now rolling in the opposite direction, the back roller is fine. So now it just sits on the bottom of the pool not going anywhere. Thanks Judy
My new one keeps getting stuck at the ladder
Never had that problem.
My pool got contaminated with spring rain and pool cage - turned green .
Yep, you have to stay on top of changing water conditions. Thanks for the comment.
You have no ladders
One. Of course the Dolphin can't get behind the ladder so I just brush it once in a while. Thank you for the comment and for watching.
