omg I can't believe la mer is that expensive!! I could never pay a few grand for a moisturizer 😂 lucky you get to try out a few samples! i can't wait to hear your full thoughts!😁
You look stunning in this red sweater and red lipstick!😍 Red is your color or at least one of them, just gorgeous! I was bummed that I missed subscribing for Macy's January box but after seeing actual samples I don't think it was a big loss for me. I will wait and see what they have to offer in April box, I saw March is taken by Elizabeth Arden which I'm not interested in 🙄 Thank you for your video!❤
Aw thanks! I do love red! :) And yes I’m sorry, it’s past time now. Yea the March is ANOTHER takeover box, which I’ll have spoilers for tomorrow. If it weren’t coming off so many takeover boxes and skincare, it might be interesting. But I have a feeling not many will be excited for March. 😬
I got my box on Monday and the day crème in the foil packet lasted 3 days. I am underwhelmed by the brand but agree it is fun to try this luxury brand to see if I’m missing out!
Sher, Remember my invoice said my first box would start with February and I ordered on January 3rd. I received my box yesterday, and I did get this beloved January box!! 😊
When you do makeup how do protect people from cold sores aka herps ? Lip liner or lipstick or brush do you cut of the lip stick from the tube? Do you use reusable or disposable lip brushes?
Yes I’m a professional. I don’t reuse products on clients without proper sanitation and MUA hygiene guidelines. 😂 I always scrape any liquid products with spatulas and place the product on my mixing pan so that it’s never been touched with anyone’s skin or lips. Then I apply from there with a brush. For lip liners, I use pencils directly on the lips that I then sharpen and sanitize with sterilizing alcohol.
@@SherSharesBeauty what about the sharpener? You would have to sanitize that too because if they did have something nasty and we used the same sharpener that could contaminate someone right?
@@LizBlackwell-w4x yes I said it in wrong order, sanitize THEN sharpen. But I also boil a lot of my tools like sharpeners and hair pins that I use to pull their hair out of their face with, etc. in hot boiling water long enough to kill germs but not so long to melt it. Those kind of things that are harder to sanitize in the crevices.
They are similar but the Macy’s product sizes are usually smaller than Ipsy’s. They are sample rather than deluxe. But the Macys usually have mostly luxury products because it’s all items at Macy’s Beauty, whereas Ipsy’s are more a mix.
Not every month. We always get a bonus item though. It could be bags or skincare tools or hair clips, etc. but we do seem to get makeup bags pretty frequently:)
Sher you look radiant today! I have texture on my right temple from being a side sleeper. Does it say it helps with texture? The mail just came I should go look!
Awww thanks! My vegan diet is making a difference in everything! :) The La Mer does help with texture. I also recommend a beauty sleep pillow that addresses sleep wrinkles:)
@@SherSharesBeauty I have special pillow cases but I use a pregnancy pillow because of my health issues and I can't get the pillowcases to stay on. I'm supposed to sleep on my back.
You look GORGEOUS in this red shade!♥️♥️♥️. Even if I was filthy rich I would NEVER spend $3k on a face cream. My local NY Costco sells this brand at a discount. I never cared to check, but some people maybe interested. You will also get 2% back if you have the top tier membership. BTW JLo has nothing on YOU!❤❤️❤️
Aww shucks, so sweet! That’s a TALL compliment to beat out JLo! 😂😂😂😅 And nice tip on the Costco code. Gosh I might make my dad look into it for me with his membership. 😂
I tried several times using your link to subscribe to the Macys box, and could not for the life of me make it happen. I called customer service, then transferred to tech support…an hour of my life I’ll never get back! What an awful experience! So disappointed! Love your videos! Sad that I couldn’t get in on the great YSL lippie!
Oh no, I’m so sorry. That’s the first I’ve heard that with this link. I may try to use a different one that others have been able to get to work. And yes the deadline for the Ysl might have just ended. 😭
Hmm I need to go back and watch my unboxing video and make sure I got the right box lol. I unbox a lot so sometimes i mix them up. But this was the luxury advent that I did, not the regular advent. Did you do the luxury one?
I will be curious to know if you see a big result. But, even if you do, it’s not like the average person can afford it. 🤷🏻♀️ This is my first Macys box. IMO…Macys would do better to send us brands we can afford to purchase. Thanks for doing these reviews and spoilers. Love it! 😊
Yea lol. I really do wonder who actually buys these products? I guess the truly truly rich lol. Next month has a better mix I’m excited for. They do have another take over box coming in March, sigh lol. Sorry that your first intro to Macys is a lot of take over boxes. 😬
Macys themselves advertised it as the almost $3k retail value. But that is in the largest size. You are right that the smaller sizes aren’t that crazy. The half ounce (mini size) retails for $100.
I’ve been using the products last few days , I have broken out bad . I guess my face doesn’t like. Disappointing. But I prefer different items from different brands in our boxes and Macy’s please bring back our perfumes. That’s one of the main reasons why I got the box.
Yes they have much smaller bottles for $100 and $200 but those are the .5 and 1 Oz. This was the retail value Macys officially said it is and it’s the really big size.
im sorry to say but my tonymoly v fit gua sha cream that cost like 34 bucks felt better on my skin than this 3 k cream lol sorry again for feeling that way lol
Sher-your vegan diet is showing in your skin and face right now, my girl! I can literally see it on you, and you look amazing! Thanks for mentioning the coupon issue. 😁❤️
I would use there makeup and teach them for their budget. That way no one else has ever used their products. Mites literally live in makeup eye makeup. How do you sanitize everything? I would just go shopping with someone and let them pick out. They could afford it when they needed and give them options that were affordable and good quality and teach them how to do it themselves what they got so they can re-create it themselves without other peoples cooties.
That’s not the standard in professional makeup for a lot of reasons. Actually if an MUA suggests using the client’s makeup, that’s usually a red flag. Clients don’t necessarily use or have the right products in stock or have as much knowledge of things like flashback, what products work for long wear, photography, climate, theme, etc. You could go shopping with them, yes. But that would be an extra charge for time and expertise exerted to shop and recommend in addition to the makeup application service. As professionals, there is an industry standard for how to sanitize everything. I use alcohol to sanitize after every session. My brushes, I use a sanitizing brush cleaner for onsite but I usually don’t use it because I have different brush sets for each client, and then deep clean the brushes again after the event. I have a whole system for how to keep brushes separate between each client in wedding parties, etc. and yes I definitely use a lot of disposables for lashes, brows, etc as well.
I'm disappointed in those products. The smell is too strong and unpleasant, especially the night cream. The face wash dries out my oily skin too much. I have to apply moisturizer right away, or my skin feels like rice paper. Yeah, the sample sizes are laughable. Well, I'm not their target customer because I won't spend that much on skin care anyway. If I could afford those prices, I wouldn't be subscribed to Macy's beauty box! 😂
Right?! 😂 none of us are their target customers with these kind of products lol. I do find that if I really love something in the box, I’ll go back and get full size. But NOT a $3000 one.. 😂 I haven’t tried the other products yet, but you’d think for that pricetag , they’d smell and feel better. 😳
You are correct. I usually try to remember to only touch the skincare that I know I’ll use up right away & use spatulas if it’s one I won’t get to again for awhile. This La Mer will probably last maybe a week though so I’m not too concerned about the bacteria turning it in that time.
I do appreciate your content, but I am so underwhelmed by these products. First, these are samples the store gives away and second, there isn't nearly enough of any of them (maybe the eye cream?) to see results. Plus, if I love them I can't afford them. Macys please go back to your normal boxes. And enough make up bags! Rant over haha.
omg I can't believe la mer is that expensive!! I could never pay a few grand for a moisturizer 😂 lucky you get to try out a few samples! i can't wait to hear your full thoughts!😁

Sher, Remember my invoice said my first box would start with February and I ordered on January 3rd. I received my box yesterday, and I did get this beloved January box!! 😊

Sher, I would love to see the results of the Le Mer Cream!
Coming soon! 🤗
Hey Love your nails and the blue bag 💙
Thanks! Isn’t that blue bag gorg? 😍
I fell in love with this line after using the last 3 days. Man it is so expensive tho to buy retail

Yes! I do feel like the 2 boxes have switched places recently. 😂 and a little in Ipsy too!
You have been looking very nice on UA-cam lately.. Keep it up.
Aw thanks so much! 🥰 love to hear that. My vegan diet is helping a lot of things and I may have finally got my set up and lighting right:) 😂
I did not get the cleansers. I just got the sample packets and the tiny one. Apparently I'm missing products.
Oh they jipped you! No note or anything? I’d call them and get it fixed.
@@SherSharesBeautyThanks that’s what I decided to do. I didn’t realize it until I saw your video. I always watch your videos.

Yes I think it is. I think the cut off was 1/15, if I remember correctly. I’m sorry. 😢
Hi! I got this one also. I was fine with the samples other than the ones in the squeeze packs. I know those are free in store. :/
Yea exactly. I don’t love when they give those packs. We can get on websites for free samples too.

I work for the post office we do our best.
And Creme de lamer is not 3000
I think it’s something with my area. I just seem to be last to get everything. 😢
I checked my advent calendar stuff and i did not receive LaMer in mine...

Macys themselves advertised it as the almost $3k retail value. But that is in the largest size. You are right that the smaller sizes aren’t that crazy. The half ounce (mini size) retails for $100.
I love the cleanser - a little goes a long way … smells like Dove lol
“The” cream - I felt like it left my skin sticky 🙄
“The” cream… ha ha!! 🤣 oh wow, I didn’t notice sticky. I just thought not hydrating at all. 🤔
