Hey buddy! U know I love ur stuff as always ❤ Totally off topic BUT...I was wondering... I recall U mentioned in one of ur vids U have a list of like 60 topics to come... But is Karl Marx one of those topics? Just curious because we hear/see all the time about Marxism, communism, the reds, Lenin, Stalin, china, S Korea & all the dictators that adopted some form of his theology ... but I don't recall ever really seeing anything about the man himself, his history & his real story ... Maybe I haven't looked that hard, but I am very curious... Do we not know much about him? ... was he boring?... Or did his alleged followers just overshadow him?
    Thinking out loud 😊
Cheers again for the amazing content xxx

Hello. This is a time period I've not yet worked up to yet. As for figures like Marx, I'm still deciding if/how to approach it. It crosses into the realm of politics, and I want to maintain a detached theme for these lectures. I know quite a lot about the ideology since I spend a lot of time in China, and that has no doubt influenced my perspective.
If I do end up doing a video on Marx, Lenin, Engels, etc, it will be in a few months time. But the videos will most likely be more about the individuals, rather than the ideologies, as much as that is possible.

@@ASMR_Historian totally understand, I'm not into politics either & it's the man I am interested in also.
I just find it so fascinating that half (probably, a loose guess) the population of the world is living under theologies hugely derived from his work, works, whatever... As U can see I'm not very knowledgeable on the topic but was wondering about ur take on it & as I appreciate ur approach to history I would enjoy so much learning about it in ur format.
Anyways, thanks for the reply & I look forward to ALL of ur content...
Honestly, it is wonderful to get a reply, I know as U grow it will be harder for U to maintain such close contact with ur listeners, which is so very sad to me, but understandable so I will enjoy it while it lasts & do my best to ensure YOU know that U are appreciated here in OZ as well as the rest of the world.
      Thank U 😊

P.s. like U, I also have a huge love of asia & its different histories, probably my fav historical topics.
I recall visiting china when I was in my early teens & seeing the mummified body of chairman Mao... We lined up for hours, I think it was some national holiday for him or something (so long ago now, memories are a little vague) Lol... a little macabre for a youngster but maybe that's where china & south east Asia grabbed me originally, I would love to hear more about ur Asian adventures & fluently in Mandarin, that's massively impressive 😮 I struggled last month with a few words in Vietnamese 😂 but I'm no linguist!
      Wǎnshàng hǎo 😉

Yes, keeping up with the comments is becoming hard, I suppose its a good problem to have. Maybe when I get to the next subgoal I will have a short video telling a few stories about my travels, a kind of fan service. I've seen chairman Mao's mausoleum too, several years back, Beijing was nice but I wouldn't want to live there, I like smaller cities. Xi'an, and maybe Ningbo are my favorites among many.
