- Odisha Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan on the opening of Ratna Bhandar said that the government is taking positive steps and is very careful to initiate the process of opening the Ratna Bhandar. He said that shortly govt will announce the modality and the date when the event will be done.
Jagannath Temple is the most revered temple in the state. The temple’s treasury is termed as ‘Ratna Bhandar’. According to the rules and practices of the temple; the gold, jewels, and other offerings made by the public to ‘Jagannath Mahaprabhu’ are stored in this Ratna Bhandar.
PM Narendra Modi while addressing a public rally in Dhenkanal Lok Sabha Constituency in Odisha on May 20, attacked the BJD government and asked how can be the key of Ratna Bhandar has been lost for the past 6 years.

It's not just about recording look at what happened to the temples in other states, in the name of managing their affairs they put exorbitant taxes and encroach upon hindu land. Literally churches are made on temple lands in TN and hindu conversion takes place... They won't stop at just cataloging
