It blows my mind that this thing weighs more than my fx45 - similar-ish size (this looks narrower but same length) but packing a 4cyl vs a 4.5l v8 is nuts.
Hi, from Japan!! Quite a nice car but you are true. There are lots of competitors in the market when we think about price. Then, people would choose other cars who know what a good car is. Nissan must be glad that you compliment on their systems and techniques. Funny, you can always hear “Techniques of Nissan” on end part of their TV advertisement. Todd, you are right!! By the way, many of Japanese car manufacturers adopt CVT but Mazda doesn’t!! I hope Mazda keeps it up.
I've got a previous gen QX50. The CVT, 4 cylinder engine, FWD bias, electronic steering all made the car completely uninteresting to me. Too bad because it's got a nice interior (save for the double screen) and the car is fantastic looking in red.
With the 3.7? I've had my '13 G37x since Oct 2016, not planning on selling lol. Excellent ownership experience. This weird 4 banger & CVT combo? Probably not.
"There's zero information" re: steering, is so disappointing considering how much feedback the good old hydraulic rack produced in the previous gen 3.7 models (early Q50/60, Q70, QX50, QX70, G's/EX's/FX's before that).
An eight or nine speed tranny would do wonders for the car. But Nissan owns Jatco that makes CVT's and only hurting their own reputation by doing so. It seems they should have learned their lesson with the QX60 moving from CVT to torque converter trans. It's a much better place. Use the old 7 speed auto from the Q60 or the old Qx50.

What happened to Infinity? I remember seeing the G3x models all over the road.
Bought by Renault, quality has crashed.
@@senseicorey9979G35 and G37 were released after the Renault alliance, which happened in 1999.
Infiniti and CVT should not go in the same sentence. That's just for starters.
Infinity, CVT, and sport should not all be in the same sentence. Disgusting.
