Is this a real question? Did you watch this vid all the way through and look into other emtb races? As you can see, the course is longer, the uphills are steeper. The motor cuts off at 15.2 mph (25kph) and human effort takes over. Did you really not know this?
Great to see this racing but I'd like it more with a little commentary about the bikes aswell.. eg: Here's David on his Hiabike 2022 Xduro 7.... etc
There is a magazine show on Eurosport / Discovery+ where they do get into more technical stuff like that.

What’s the deal with young fit pros racing these things? They don’t need e-bikes. Shouldn’t there be an age or disability cap on this?
The point of e-bikes is to put more distance into the ride while putting the same amount of effort in, not necessarily to make the ride easier
