In P2 syndromes, u mentioned c/l homonymous hemianopia with macular sparing, but Harrison says without macular sparing... Dint get a clear picture still sir..

The video was very helpful for quick revision frm Harrison... But sir in harrison says occlusion P2 produces C/L HEMIANOPIA WITHOUT MACULA SPARING ( WHILE SPARING IS SEEN IN MCA INFARCT DUE TO DUAL SUPPLY OF CALCARINE BY P2)
Kindly share some info over it . THANK YOU

In Harrison, pg 3073, P2 syndrome - C/L homonyms hemianopia without macula sparing is usual manifestation, in MCA strokes hemianopia typically spares macula as calcarine cortex is supplied by P 2 segment.
In your video, you have said in P2 syndrome macula is spared. So what's true?

PCA Involves macula because it supplies calcarine cortex...so macular sparing not seen in PCA stroke....(you can remember: PCM: PCA-- CALCARINE CORTEX---MACULA)
whereas MCA does not perfuse calcarine cortex sparing the macula.....so what is given in harrison is perfect!
