  • On Sunday May 16, 2021, Samantha, Chloë, and Brad, summited Bessemer Mountain in the North Bend area of Washington State.
Snow started at around 3k feet. Four members of the group used hiking shoes with microspikes. Brad used his mountaineering boots to kick in steps.
The views were incredible on the upper mountain. We could see Tahoma (Rainier), the Olympic Mountains, Dakobed (Glacier), and picture perfect views of the middle fork Snoqualmie valley.
It took us about 5 hours to summit and 3 hours to descend. Most of the hike is along a very easy to follow forest road. You could easily bike a long portion of this approach.
If you do this one, remember to leave no trace and treat the outdoors with the respect it deserves! Reach out to us if you have any questions and thank you for watching!
