Always take fabric off the roll/bolt to ship.Just mention it in the description so the buyer knows You can often fit it in a flat rate box if that ends up cheaper. If I have more than 3 yards of fabric I always sell it by the yard. Most people dont need 8 yards of fabric, they only want 1-2 so you appeal to more buyers. If someone wants all 8 they can buy all 8. In fact, it sells faster because the buyer who wants all of it will buy quickly so someone doesn't beat them to it. When selling by the yard just keep the fabric intact and cut to order, this is called continuous yards, Tell them it will be cut that way. I buy/sell thousands of yards of fabrics and cutting to order by the yard is the best when you have a lot of it, under 3 yards I usually sell by the piece. Ive even sold favric samples for over $100. Good fabric is expensive and thrift stores ofter underprice it so worth learning about fabrics/manufacturers .Btw, jacquard isnt a print, its a weave. Special looms are used and two different types of fiber get the textured design of a jacquard. Great buys today, the crowds gave me anxiety just watching, lol. Congratulations for surviving!
I do not resell for a living, but I enjoy looking up items on my phone. This is for multiple reasons: I want to know what the thing I’m looking up is/its origins/its value for cost comparison, mostly to see if it’s fairly priced or off it will hold its value (I have put things back on the shelf bc they’re low rated or overpriced and I can get it cheaper elsewhere). I fill up my cart with less than ten items, pull it to the side and out of the way and look. I return the items that I don’t want back to their proper area. Thrifting is fun and I spend at least 1-2 hours in the largest store and try to keep the price low if I can. One employee asked if I was a reseller and I said, on occasion, but I mostly collect, which is absolutely 100% true…I pretty much buy to decorate or for utility reasons.
(@ around 23:00) I would always unroll and check posters if possible. Travel posters are a huge bolo. They are hard to find but definitely worth looking for. I found all of my posters at an estate sale. I bought at least 100 and tried to buy everything they had. Most were from France.
Good point! I bought some rolled up ones in a trash can from a auction once and had rare smokey the bear posters that sold for $500 and $300 :D Those looked newer
Wow, that fabric! Will you take it off the roll & ship flat? I turned $2.00 into $53.00 today & was very happy about that! I should buy that South Dakota/Mt. Rushmore set since I live in SD 😜
I saw a little lane cedar chest you passed up. All those people were giving me anxiety. Great shopping. I will be looking at fabric now. Thanks as always .
Pack rolls of fabric in some golf club boxes might take two but it’s doable. I love buying fabric. And I bought a Florida gators silk tie today at the Goodwill for a dollar. It looks brand new. I know you would like that
Great Video! I felt like I was shopping there lol. I definitely will be going to that store when I’m in town. Love the fabric and the mixer. Great score of the bears
I went to a thrift store today. I was looking at the purses ... & I wanted to see if one purse was missing a long handle. This lady next to me says "oh, you're a reseller?" So I told her " I'm looking to see if this bag has a long handle". Because really it's none of her business. So she says to me "There's a guy here doing the same thing you're doing, and he's a reseller." Okaaay! Well, I have 8 grandbabies and 2 daughters and I buy things for them all the time at the thrift store. So I said to her "Reseller or not ... The thrift store is getting the money they're asking for these things. Maybe write to their CFO!?". She did not like that answer. She insinuated that the prices were higher because people were reselling. What does she care what you do with things after you pay their asking price?? 🤔 I put the purse back because it was missing the cross body handle 😆
Yeah we're buying stuff that most times ends up being tossed anyways. I'm very open about being a reseller if they don't like it tough lol lol they really hate me for sharing what stuff sells for on here too
Kat, Wondering if you are knowledgeable about Fabric & knew the brand was a good one or if you researched the brands as you stood in store to find a good one??
I have some knowledge and i did know that brand. I found some pillow cases made of it that sold for over a hundred a couple years ago. I only buy if they have a name on them or very cool patterns
Kat hi from the U.K I am amazed when some sellers buy vintage Diapers to sell . I noticed on a shelf some incontinence pants pads, do they sell the same ?.🇬🇧♥️
Kat … you deserve every like you get. We are priveleged to share in your knowledge👍
I appreciate that. Thank you for watching!

Yes i think that's smart. I've seen many items priced higher than they sell elsewhere

Hi Kat. I have that cart. I bring my groceries in from the car with it. Would be handy for Junk in the Trunk.
Do you think it would do good on the dirt? We normally bring our pull cart
