Yes, certainly one of the best of his many medleys. This is one side of the EP "Picture Pops" from 1958, when Russ was at the top of his craft and the piano at EMI was tuned (or de-tuned) just right for his style. Pity the music is in mono and the scratches seem to be in stereo. But still a real treat to listen to again after all this time. Cheers MT
@MarcusTomatos - It was originally released on a 78 (I have it, but the e.p. has less surface noise) - hence the pause in the middle! The e.p. is mono, but the scratches are in stereo, due to my stereo cartridge! The 78 has a better dynamic - but mine is BADLY worn (understandably!) so I had to settle for the e.p. - although I "sweetened" the sound as best I could. Soon, I'll be starting a 78-only channel. Plus an audio-tape one - which'll include Russ' VOCAL version of "Concerto For Dreamers".
