Love the background! 😊 Great Review as always! I wanted to remind you that Pipe Week is coming up. It is always the week after Father’s Day. This year that falls on June 16-22. This will be the 4th year in a row that we have pipe week with the awards show at the end. As you know, you have been one of the nominees on previous years. The main purpose is to put the Pipe Hobby back on the world map with yearly celebrations. It would help a lot if you show your support by mentioning it to your viewers for increased exposure and participation. Thanks for all you do for the community.

I love your content. Please keep it up. Not many of us younger folks piping. I'm 34, and after my grandfather's passing, I decided to try it as he was a pipe smoker. I wish I had been able to smoke with him. If you're ever in Colorado, it would be an honor to smoke a bowl with you, sir.

Hello, I just want to say that you are one of the unique characters that I know from UA-cam. You teach me how to fill a pipe and how to smoke it. I'm enjoying watching you smoke a pipe, sir. From Iran

I enjoy this one quite a lot. Very close to Bengal Slices white, but a bit sweeter. Russ makes great blends. ❤❤❤❤

There is something truly otherworldly when you open that jar and give it a sniff. Have not found another like it.

Thank you for your consistency. You reviewed this back in March of 2019 and gave it 3 emojis then as well.

The" protector" Is also there to keep bits of tobacco from falling through the small hole or opening left by the folded paper.

Newby piper here. Love watching all of your videos. I believe I have watched every video from the beginning. Great advice on how and not to do certain things. I would be interested in one of your tobacco trays/mats if you ever decide to start selling them. Bought some mugs for a friend of mine who got me into this hobby. Thanks again. By the way, I would consider myself an aromatic type person, love the middle earth blends from the Country Squire. Also enjoy plum pudding with my coffee. Thanks again!

    I have a question.
How much tobacco should be left in the bottom of the bowel when you're pipe is finished?
Also, when the bottom of the bowel gets soaked with dottle, do you keep trying to smoke wet tobacco or wait for it to dry out?

🪖🪖🪖🪖🪖 I really enjoyed this one. The initial smell included some of that “burning fall leaves” smell that I tend to prefer in other, similar tobaccos. Taste was good and fairly consistent. Burned a little wet, but nothing that I can’t overlook. I’ll see about getting more of this, because it's going in my regular rotation.

This is a great English. I haven't gotten my hands on any in quite some time.

Sugar crystals means that the blender cased the tobacco with more sugar water than average. Sugar casing helps to retain moisture level after the can is opened, and to add some sweetness. This is according to Jeremy Reeves, the master blender of Cornell & Diehl. BTW I highly recommend to watch their channel.
As for tobacco aging, it is very minimal in vacuum sealed cans, as the can is air tight and preservatives are added to the tobacco.
This is not the case with these larger cans that you open the lid by pulling a ring. There is air in these cans, and sometimes you can see them swell because of fermentation.

“Head blender” you don’t get the master blender title for blending other peoples recipes… that’s not how it works… not even in the slightest..

Favorite of mine, got some Fusiliers Ration Special Reserve. One of my favorite crumble cakes. Keep mine in a barrel, only.problem is keeping itoist without causing mold to build up. But great flavor all around. Some Captain Earls are similar to this.

Very smooth and no bite to it. I agree with the earthy description and have smoked this in the fall as well as spring. Good for both. Definitely one I enjoy during a quiet night on my front porch where I spend time unwinding. Other English blends remind me of a campfire but this one is very unique in that it just tastes like an autumn woods. Would get this again.

They’re not crossed rifles, by it’s the next closest thing. So I don’t know whether I don’t care for orientals, or I’m just not used to them yet and my palate may adjust to them with more time. Very scare experience to this point. Maybe only 1 or 2 other tobaccos I have had with them, but different kind of blends than this. It may just be this particular mix for me, but I’m not feeling it. At least not on this first try. We’ll see later on if that may change.

I thought this was a very well done English. The orientals had a slight pleasant sour note while the Virginia's offered a subtle sweetness. The Latakia was definitely subdued. A nice creamy smoke that had a hint of mustiness to it, in a good way.
    I really enjoyed the blend.

Another great Blend Club month w Muttonchop. Gave it a 4. I find this to be a very likable English blend not to harsh but just enough where I could consider this an all day blend especially for being outside tinkering around in the yard...

🥾🥾 👢 2 1/2 boots. I felt this was a bit Leathery for my taste. Though it was smooth with not much bite. Not sure how I feel about English Blends overall yet. It would pair well with Southern BBQ and maybe a Sweet Red wine or sweet tea. For now I'm putting it mason jar and will revisit at a later date. Maybe I need to break in the Bent Billiard I've designated for English Blends to enjoy this more.

👍👍👍. This is a very middle of the road English. I do appreciate it’s not a Latakia bomb. The orientals are pleasant and totally drive the bus. The Virginia tobacco brings a subtle sweetness. The tin notes a deceitful because the Latakia is front and center. The moisture level is a little high, but it’s to be expected with a crumble cake. It definitely an outdoor kinda smoke. All in all a decent blend.

Hey man. I feel like it's easier for the audience to want to watch a video when you make different thumbnails. I think that repeating the same thumb is bad for getting more views. Greetings from Rio de Janeiro.

🫡🫡🫡🫡 Fusilier’s Ration is one of my favorite English blends. It’s definitely the addition of black cavendish that makes it taste so good to my palette. But it’s a little on the pricy side so I get Fusiliers Ration Special Reserve (bulk version).
