Apart from that my weekend watch is 1 of 3 G shocks mainly the GWG 2000 Mudmaster .. don't need to worry about it breaking when spending time in the wild with kids 😅
Putting a leather strap on a dive watch is goofy, but Silicone or Bracelet make sense & depend on personal preference. The Casio Duro is a great beater watch & one of the three quartz options that I’d consider: Breitling EndurancePro, TAG Heuer Formula 1, & Casio Duro. Most everything else worth owning is mechanical.
It’s just as goofy as a diver being worn in the office, no? Plenty of brands sell their dive watches on leather straps (JLC Polaris, Tudor BB58s, Omega Seamaster Heritage, etc.) +1 for mentioning the Endurance Pro, not enough love!

Caso Duro doesn't work with a suit, even with a leather strap. You need a gold accent on the jubilee strap to match the gold bezel imo. Duro watches are excellent value though with all stainless construction and nicely finished
ive got the blue duro coming soon but i need another strap than the one it comes with so this video is very useful thanks. now to look for a video on how to change the straps haha. ive been using the F-91w for 6 years now for work purposes only but getting a blue duro for permanent use, i love casio and its GOD TIER!
trust me on this, put that duro on a brown bund strap with white stitching, it looks phenomenal, I also reccomend the black Trooper Nylon Bund from StrapCo for the Black Duro.

Nice watch, but looks horrible with a suit, and the black leather strap doesn't help at all. Dress watches exist for a reason. I own a Duro and never wear it with cuffed shirts (even though I've tried) because it just looks out of place and it's too bulky to slip under the cuff. Just bought Invicta Pro diver as i wanted a diverwatch...now i see this Duro and i'm like fuuuuuck...should've researched more thoroughly. Dont get me wrong,i love the invicta and like that its mechanic, but at the price made me want the Duro.

But I do switch between the resin and oyster. It fits perfect on my wrist. And I do plan on buying a rubber strap down the line. Thanks for helping me out man!
It's a large piece, for sure! What A LOT of watch enthusiasts don't realize is you can actually increase your wrist circumference to fit larger watches! Exercises which use heavy grip strength (deadlifts, calisthenics, etc.) will easily pack on girth. Hope this random piece of information helps, Mr. Densus!
Love my Duro, it's been a daily for over 2yrs. I'm VERY hard on watches, have NO scratches on the crystal. Although I bang mine almost daily on metal monos and shelving, and the mineral crystal is just fine. A few scratches and a little ding on the aluminum insert, with minimal scratching on the case(not really noticeable). The lume is not great, no issues with the crown, and the second hand hitting the markers is hit or miss(no pun intended). It appears to get better with time, btw. Mine was almost perfect right out of the box. I've spent more on straps then on the watch and Love it... Spends most of its time on a StrapCode 22mm Super-J Louis JUB Watch Band Straight End, 316L Stainless Steel Solid V-Clasp Button Double Lock.

I can’t stand solid end links, I prefer the separation. I have an Oyster and an Engineer for them and they look great. It’s subjective I know, but it’s not a high tier piece anyway.
I'm sorry but metal bracelet that comes with Casio Duro is folded links, feels cheap too and doesn't rest flat on the table if you get what i mean...something like this --> ( ) like a bangle...so i ordered a 22mm solid links but hollow curve endlinks aftermarket bracelet and now it looks like an expensive watch.
I believe the lugs will end right at the edge of your wrist. Mine is 6.75 inches and there is a tiny bit of extra wrist room, but still looks like a frying pan on me. You seem like a classy man who favors proportions and so I’d invite you to go with a smaller case size (Orient Kamasu/Mako, Citizen ProMasters, Seiko 5s, etc)

Honestly I think its heresy to put a dive watch on a leather strap. Even more so a patent leather one. I've got one duro on a really high end rubber strap and another on a bracelet. The NATO is acceptable but leather is wrong

Putting them on a strap that is destroyed the first time you jump into a pool is just wrong. Ask me how I know. @@kenIiam Since I'm apparently the only person walking planet earth who doesn't like the Submariner, its probably obvious I wouldn't pair a Sub with a suit. The Black Bay is middle ground for me. 'I' wouldn't opt to pair it with a suit, but I'm not really put off by those who would. Personally, when I don a suit and tie, my go to is always something uber simple and elegant (Bauhaus inspired is a huge plus) like my Tissot Le Locle on a black leather strap. Though I must admit, my Gen2 Orient Bambino on a leather strap still finds its way into my more casual 'dress' rotation from time to time. At some point I intend to add a Junghans Max Bill Auto to truly embrace my love affair with Bauhaus design. I love watches, but like shoes, I wouldn't opt to wear white sneakers with a custom suit and tie any more than I'd pair a huge diver or chrono with that suit. But at least that big diver or chrono isn't a smartwatch. 😉

I suggest you a citizen stiletto as dress watch. It's fantastic, minimal and it hides under the cuff.

@@kenIiam Just because you have a capability doesn't mean you need to use it all the time. A Range Rover like a Submariner is now a luxury item but both are still fully capable of what they were originally intended for. A Duro on a shiny leather strap simply isn't

What is the strap width for jublee bracelet?
22 mm at the lugs, tapers down to 18 mm, and the buckle width is 20 mm

Right there with you, but they have a 38mm! It wears closer to a 36mm, 50 m of water resistance, and a cheaper bezel
I have the Pepsi version with the metal band and the gold version with the resin band. They have the Marlin logo, which I like. Love both watches, but I’ll get jubilee bracelets for them. I have a Citizen watch with a jubilee bracelet and it adds so much to the look and feel.

@@kenIiam Yes. It is brushed with a nice metallic shine to it. I have worn it a few days so too soon to tell but it is holding up fine.
The Duro is too dang big for my wrist so I settled for the Marlin-less 40mm "version" of the MTD 1053-D. If only I had bigger wrists...

However, this new trend of people wearing dive watches with a suit and tie bugs me given how much more attractive and complimentary an elegant dress watch is in that setting. And best of all, it provides the perfect excuse to buy another watch. 😉

@@kenIiam Since I'm apparently the only person walking planet earth who doesn't like the Submariner, its probably obvious I wouldn't pair a Sub with a suit. The Black Bay is middle ground for me. 'I' wouldn't opt to pair it with a suit, but I'm not really put off by those who would. Personally, when I don a suit and tie, my go to is always something uber simple and elegant (Bauhaus inspired is a huge plus) like my Tissot Le Locle on a black leather strap. Though I must admit, my Gen2 Orient Bambino on a leather strap still finds its way into my more casual 'dress' rotation from time to time. At some point I intend to add a Junghans Max Bill Auto to truly embrace my love affair with Bauhaus design.
I love watches, but like shoes, I wouldn't opt to wear white sneakers with a custom suit and tie any more than I'd pair a huge diver or chrono with that suit. But at least that big diver or chrono isn't a smartwatch. 😉
