This is probably one of the best mixes you guys have done. good job! keep it up!
its good that he is humble.
and his too sick. all the hard work pays of.
HE IS GOING TO GET FAR
I could watch this a million times..GO PACK!!!
hes not just celebrating too celebrate hes motivating himself too do that shit again! #donthatecuzucan'tdoit!
First time seein this dude, and he is really athletic, and seems to have range. He's got amazing potential...and hopefully he stays healthy. It would suck to see him get injured.
My boy Rodney, i'll be able to say "i knew him when". that's my dude, reppin raleigh town, dude's gonna be a star and i can't wait to see it.
this guys got game, can shoot, finish around or above the rim n sick handles n moves as well
OMG!! one thing that i have noticed about people is that they are going to hate regardless of whatn someone is doing if they cant do it they attack they person who can please get a life and ge over yourself i love you little cousin keep doing great things
He is the defination of teamwork.......
This kid got talent and obviously he's working hard, thumbs up
love his intensity!!
He's got a nice game and good intensity. Definitely a 1 and done.
Dudes a beast can't wait for him to get to Louisville he gonna break every ones ankles in the big east!
This kid is GOOD!!!! He definitely puts me in the frame of mind of D Wade! He's NICE!!!
Louisville excited to have you coming bro!
one thing that i have noticed is that people will hate on you no matter what you do if they cant do it themselves they attack the person who can. get a life and grow up please. i love you little cousin keep doing great things!!!
this kid is flat out explosive! he is nc state starting pg!
very humble kid
He has a great game! Very skilled at his age.
This kid is the best kid I have ever seen. no lie
All of the best upcoming ballers have sprouted in NC
i see his workout...its CRAZY !
I give Rodney Purvis props because he is actually moving up a grade playing better competition. While others choose to go back a grade...Purvis reminds me of a Dwayne Wade-like player.
BALLISLIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nice all around mix
he celebrates so much
Yea, he is like a young D. Wade. This kid has it all. If concentrates on improving that J next season he'll probably turn pro early I'm guessing. Good luck to him.
"not let it get to my head." * taunts opponents after dunking over them. *proud smiles at opponents after dunking over them.
back when he played middleschool, our team played his team and the night before the game, the whole practice was dedicated to taking a charge so he could get in foul trouble...it only worked once. :p
like he said, the raleigh atmosphere is great for ballin. as long as it aint too bad you can celebrate somethin, especially when the refs themselves are amazed.
In the title it says 6'5, but in the description it says 6'3
Years ago N.C. State produced a player named David Thompson who became an all star. He was a pioneer of the game because of his leaping ability and was Michael Jordan's favorite player as a youth. Rodney's game has some similarity to Thompson's.
Exactly ... I would like to see him creating off the dribble in half-court sets not just running downhill, full speed and dunking
BEAST.!! hes n exciting player
This makes no sense. They say he's a 6'5" point guard going to Louisville, but he's actually a 6'3" UConn bound point guard. The title and description don't match
at 2:00 one of the best traveling violations I have ever seen.
To me hes my favorite player and I also think he is the best player in the class of 2012.
im loving those pink basketball nets
Explosive, He is actually good
Had to play against him can say it was quite an honor
He traveled his ass off on that spin move at 2:01 but he's still nice lol
this guy has his mind right hes gonna do things for his home town/
i played back in high school 2 years ago...now im on to chasing bigger and better things...like i've told you though...if you are indeed averaging those numbers then great for you...you're just gonna want to know to brush up on your social networking skills...you want to come off like a professional and not a kid
2:14 That man was tired of trying to guard Rodney
I'm digging the pink net @ 0:55
He's a good ball player, however on that spin move at 2:02 he traveled like a boss!
man imagine having to play him in high school. especially if he made a last second shot like the one in the end. not fair lolol
great talent
reminds a little of John Wall w/ the aggresiveness to attack the basket
"Im just a normal kid, just like any other kid" *Hits game winning shot* lol
gonna be something big
@datngapat You can correct me if i'm wrong but I believe Amare Stoudemire was 19 when he played highschool ball. From what i've noticed from watching the top prospects in highschool basketball, you will find that there are a few 19 yr olds in every class.
He is so beast he got their asses up 0:46
Duke is the leader at this point!!!
Purvis has the talent and potential. He's similar to Archie Goodwin though he isn't ballin like Arch is right now. He needs to stop settling for three's, take it to the rack and finish!
smooth dunks, its my goal to dunk like that before i turn 17
At Louisville he would have been competing for a National Championship, at NC St. he can fight to make the tournament. Good choice, Rodney.
so athletic
1:52 Jrue Holiday is the ref LOL
0:42
played like a million AAU tournaments there wow.
he has a wild character lol
Dwyane Wade. Seriously never seen such an exact copy of an NBA all-star in highschool.
@datngapat I understand what you are saying but that is not what I was getting at. I only said Amare as an example because he was 19 as a senior (would you rather I have said Lenny Cook?). Yes him being a LOT older than his competion gives him an advantage physically and skill wise. My point was that he wouldn't be the 1st top prospect to play against competition that is significantly younger.
@tastycajun0381 Yes, college admissions officers pursue the best academic talent from the best high schools. At Columbia, varsity athletes were off the team if they failed to maintain a C+ academic average or better.
we want a video showing his handling skills !!!
All I can say is... INSPIRATION.
@TheNudeidol you took the words out of my mouth! i cant wait to see him get his ass shut down in the nba!
hes a good kid. On and off the court, dont see many of thoses
His game is like dwyane wade. He even looks like him a lil bit!
He's gonna do what lebron did and team up with one of the top prospects. Rodney purivs,Ricardo Ledo, and the other one i can't remeber
more like "uconn bound" he here now baby, we bout to take over next year
ayy listen, stop judgin people before you know them. This guy is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, but he's ferocious on the court.
and other than a few wide open blocks, id like to see him play some defence
yea u right good advice im not hating on him he good and stuff but he going to have to be able to knock down jumpers in college
This is crazy, I'm starting to look up to players that are younger than me. It almost seems weird lol
love what he says from 4:08 to 4:21
Please come run with the pack Rodney! We love ya
don't forget bout TJ Warren, he's a scoring machine
@pimpingboy good thing Wood is a SF and Purvis is a SG.
another wade type player this guy is hardbody
1:52 i guarentee you the purples team coach chewed the players ass out after that
UConn!!! that back court would be ridiculous
Damn!!! the score was 95-95 in a high school game
If Chane and Wayne both stay we will be unstoppable!!!
you know ur good wen the other team gives you fives 1:50
I'm sorry but Dwyane Wade can never be replaced :) I'm pretty sure he only wants to be called Rodney Purvis. But i'm sure he's gonna be a great basketball player in NBA :)
He traveled on the spin move but he still raw
Skills- John Wall Emotion- Russell Westbrook
I saw this and was like, "damn, thats pretty good for 8th grade." The I realized this kid was 16-17 years old......
I just got done playing against this dude. he is real
he gets hella hype. scary player
@datngapat don't be so quick to judge, you never know what someone's been through till u walk a mile in their shoes. Regardless if he's 19 or not the kids got talent.
If i were a PG i would go to Kentucky and Coach Cal, seems the fastest way to the nba
to make millions
On the name of the video it says he's 6'5 but in the description it says he's 6'3
0:54 hes doing a jutsu
Anybody else notice the travel ? 2:03 After the spin
Heck yeah coming to State go Pack!
This dude should be a sophomore...omfg
1:45 get at me!
@datngapat hes not 19 years old...he just turned 17 in february which is the normal age for a high school junior
hes not goin a year early he just in his right grade now. he nice tho.
