I was told to terminate my second pregnancy because something was terribly wrong with the baby. I didn't. Am very happy to see my completely healthy daughter thrive! There is absolutely nothing wrong with her. She is my favorite person in the world and will soon celebrate her 17th birthday!

@mo-sy9ws the same thing with me, they genetic tests came back saying my daughter had down syndrome. The doctor was adamant that I should terminate, when I refused he made me sign some disclaimer document. I don't even know what was on the document. 3 years later my daughter does not have down syndrome, she's very healthy ahead of all milestones for children her age. The kindergarten teacher cannot even understand her progress. ...and to think, had I listened to the doctor.

My sister had a complicated, scary pregnancy 7 years ago, when she discovered at 20 weeks that her water had ruptured some time previously. Her baby was still alive, but her doctor at the time suggested that she have an abortion or just go about her daily life waiting for her body to spontaneously abort the child within the next few weeks. Instead, she got in touch with a pro-life OB and opted to put herself on bedrest, first at home and then, four weeks later, in the hospital. Two weeks following that, my sister gave birth to her daughter at 26 weeks 3 days. She spent 53 days in the NICU, and came home weighing just under 5 lbs. Now Veronica is an intelligent, kind 7-year-old without any complications from her early birth or complicated gestation!

Thank God! Happy to have come across this comment. My wife and I had been trying for 10 years to have a child. On a whim her Chiropractor suggested that she go gluten free because of her discomfort and YEARS of unexplained joint pain and inflammation. EVERYONE kept throwing prescriptions at her to manage the issue. Once we changed our diets and left the gluten off the menu, she started to notice the difference IMMEDIATELY! Still, doctors were trying to discredit the change and give her more medication which she declined to take. Once her body started to stabilize we had our first miscarriage. It was exciting and saddening at the same time because up until then there was no movement on us being able to have a child. We were able have our first child who came out at 30 weeks and we are pregnant again with a little girl. I like to tell people that I am a proud father of 5. 3 Heavenly children, one on the way and another that is giving me a run for my money as a parent.

That is crazy.. my friend started leaking at 28 weeks I think, and they admited her to the hospital asap, they want to hold you as long as possible at bed rest for the baby to grow because every day is crucial. She gave birth at 32 weeks.
No one in my country (Lithuania) suggest abortion in such cases, they do everything it takes to save the baby.
I guess its because abortions first are forbiden after week 12, secondly we have a mixed health care system, so private and public, thus we don't make "bussiness" out of abortions.

Unless you are born again in water and in Spirit you cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven,
In the Old testament babies were circumcised to be part of Gods Chosen People,
In the new testament Baptism replaces circumcision and is necessary to be part of Gods Chosen people
The promise is to You and to YOUR CHILDREN says the Apostle Peter in the book of Acts of the Apostles
Cornelius was baptized and also his ENTIRE FAMILY was baptized too, that includes children
Children don’t have Sin but are BORN with the original sin
      PSALM 51:5
      Indeed, I was born guilty,
a sinner since my mother conceived me.
“By one man Adam death entered the world”
Saint John the Baptist did not want to baptize Jesus because Jesus Had No Sin!!!
Jesus said we must do this so That ALL JUSTICE IS ACCOMPLISHED
Children need baptism not because they are sinners, but because they must be born in WATER AND SPIRIT TO FULFILL GODS JUSTICE

I developed pre-eclampsia and HELLPS with my second and she was born premature (a healthy 19 yr old now), so yes, I absolutely agree that there is zero medical reason to abort after the first trimester. But in first trimester, with ectopic pregnancy, there is no other option and time is not on your side.

Here is a story I never told to anyone and the main reason why I'm pro life. My girlfriend at the time received a call from one of her friend who had just received an abortion.
On speakerphone, I heard her describe the procedure and I felt physically sick. The fact that they give Valium or other drugs to "calm" down is even worse because there is a reason for the anguish and hesitation: you are ending your child. In the moment you don't understand what is truly happening and lose your will to stand up for yourself, you're just mellowed out, but when you come down reality catches you back.
I could hear how broken she was and how she was just starting to realize the permanence of her decision (heavily influenced by the current nihilistic culture, mind you)
The pain in her voice still haunts me, knowing how the medical field treats abortion as the best solution.

It hits home and to this day I regret and hate myself for the choice I made.

At my 20 week scan of my first pregnancy, I was told that my baby had no kidneys and was incompatible with life. I will never forget the doctor’s words when in shock I asked what that meant. She said, “your baby is not going to make it, if I were you I would abort.” Then she walked away. By the grace of God, I refused to terminate my pregnancy and give my baby the warmth, care, and life, I could best give her. I was told that my life was at risk if I decided to proceed with the pregnancy. I never thought that I would have to argue against abortion with my doctors. I was told that my baby would likely not make it to full term and if she did I would need a c section and she would either be still birth or last a couple minutes alive. My husband and I prayed the rosary everyday. I carried my daughter to full term, I held her peacefully alive for 7 beautiful days before she was lifted up to heaven. My daughter Rosalie is the best gift God could have given me. During her time here, I felt what I would best describe a little taste of heaven. My daughter gifted me what it means to Love. Abortion is NEVER medically necessary as “treatment”.
You cannot love your neighbor while supporting or accepting systems that crush, exploit, and dehumanize them.
So in order for someone to prove me wrong when I say abortion is never medically necessary as treatment (using the CDC definition of abortion), they’d have to show me a situation where we have a living child inside of the woman’s uterus, where it is NECESSARY to INTENTIONALLY kill that child in the uterus, and then deliver the child dead…rather than ultimately allowing that child to have a live birth.
So keep in mind, if you have to induce pre-term delivery or induce labor early to save the life of the mother and that child comes out alive, and you’re NOT intentionally killing the child in the womb prior to the birth, then that is NOT considered an abortion.
You would have to show me an instance where it’s necessary to INTENTIONALLY kill the child in the uterus and then deliver the child in order to prove me wrong.
So I will stress it again…It has to be MEDICALLY NECESSARY, as in there is no other way. So if you could deliver the child prematurely and it’s just an unfortunate consequence that after that child is delivered alive that because it was a premature delivery the child can’t survive on its own outside the womb and it dies outside the womb after a live birth, that’s NOT considered an abortion.
You’d have to show me an example where you have to intentionally kill the child in the uterus FIRST, and THEN deliver the child dead. Rather than just delivering that child alive.
I have NOT SEEN any evidence that it is ever NECESSARY to intentionally kill a child in the uterus and then deliver them dead, rather than just deliver that child alive.
      CDC definition of abortion:
For the purpose of surveillance, a legal induced abortion is defined as an intervention performed by a license clinician (e.g. a physician, nurse-midwife, nurse practitioner, physician assistant) within the limits of state regulations, that is intended to terminate a suspected or known ongoing intrauterine pregnancy and that does not result in a live birth. This definition excludes management of intrauterine fetal death, early pregnancy failure/loss, ectopic pregnancy, or retained products of conception. Most states and jurisdictions that collect abortion data report whether an abortion was performed by medication or surgery.

They wanted to end the pregnancy to prevent the strain on their bodies that this unviable pregnancy would put on it, like rendering them sterile, but their states new laws forbid it so they were forced to give birth and risk developing sterility and sepsis just to have a baby who won't live. As someone who has had an ectopic pregnancy, I’m sick of that scenario, among others, being used as a means of justifying elective abortion or being equated with it as if they are the same when they are not. I find it truly astonishing that people are so misinformed and/or in denial about what pregnancy is, what abortion is, and what ethical medical care is thay they can’t see the differences between life and death, killing and allowing for the possibility of death, etc. As a Christian I know the Bible says that the heart is wicked and people deny God’s righteousness, but I still continue to be heartbroken and astounded by the disgusting and sad nature of it all. I always suspected there was something “fishy” about abortion and the “pro-choice” movement. The moment I realized this was in my sophomore year of hs Health class. I found it suspicious that they would spend all this time talking about sex and reproduction and the teacher publicly came out and said abortion was a woman’s right and that she was pro-choice yet never actually bothered to discuss WHAT AN ABORTION ACTUALLY WAS! I was too young to have the next level of curiosity which is to ask in detail what it was. But that always lingered in my mind. It wasn’t until later on that I realized what it actually was. Then I realized “Oh, well there’s a reason why they don’t actually talk about abortion in specific detail and sort of vaguely tap dance around the issue and divert attention away from the actual facts and procedure and focus on the feelings of the mother.” I love this interview…it’s great perspective and many of these points will change people’s minds when I engage them on it

Pregnancy is an illness. Women should have paid leave for any sick day they need when pregnant and we need time off work to recover after giving birth.
Babies are little mammals and need mummy and daddy to cuddle them when they are tiny.
It is because women are not supported, empowered and compensated that they chose not to carry children.
I am fully pro choice. Even more so after being deserted by my ex and living in poverty with two special needs kids. Because in my shoes I don't think many women would last.

I’m so so tired of the argument that it’s sometimes medically necessary to abort a baby. NO! Killing the baby directly is never going to save or cure the mom. Yes, some conditions may require a delivery prior to the baby’s viability which is so heartbreaking to think about but the intention is completely different and does not involve pulling the baby apart or poisoning it.

However, they're too afraid to even say that because of the consequences they face due to the anti abortion laws. They think that, even if the two of them agree, some prolife doctor will find some rediculous excuse to say that the pregnancy is viable (when it isn't) just because he doesn't want any pregnancy to be terminated ever. Those doctors end up in jail, they lose their licenses, and the woman faces the agony and medical complications and even death of an unviable pregnancy.

You’d take them to the best hospital and find specialists who would do everything that they can to help save your child or make them comfortable if there was nothing that could be done. I know someone personally who was told that and she ended up losing her life and the child did not survive. I’ve seen other stories of the same thing. Seemingly, it happens more to black women than any other group and it we need to have more of a focus on our healthcare. So to say it’s never necessary, I don’t agree. Maybe it was her doctor or the hospital idk, but a deeper focus needs to be put towards as to why this is the case.

The answer is for years Jehovah God has sent children here through women’s wombs, these children each one of them had gifts in them. Here is my question, how many times through abortion have women been induced to kill their children? How many of these children have come with gifts to save us from these diseases and been put to death by an abortion?

The doctors warned them if she went ahead with it she was more than likely to have a stroke from blotclotts and be incapacitated. They were very devout and trusted G-d with it and had the baby. Everthing the doctors warned happened. She was severly mentally and physically damaged, never knew her baby, and left 3 under 3 without a mom. She had palliative care for 15 yrs and died. So saying it doesnt happen is just not true. It was medically necessary for her but she chose the baby. And that was her choice.

When I was 18 and pregnant with an unplanned pregnancy, I drove by an abortion protest in front of an abortion clinic. I pulled over and stood alongside of them. They gave me a sign to hold…I watched this one woman scurrying in with her partner’s arm around her, and she was shielding her face in shame and embarrassment. It’s a visual I will never forget. I don’t know what she decided to do.
Before I got pregnant, I was vehemently pro-“choice”….I remember feeling legitimately fearful at the prospect of Bush Sr becoming president, because I thought he would take away my right to have an abortion…I was sexually active and I felt genuine fear if Clinton wasn’t elected, that I might not be able to have an abortion if I needed…
But when I became pregnant my senior year (even though I was on birth control!), I somehow just intuitively knew that I couldn’t have an abortion. My best friend had had one and I remember trying to tell her not to do it…I didn’t know why, just something was making me root for life.
But she was terrified her father would kick her out of the house.
I was an atheist. But when I began to feel my baby moving inside me, I was struck by the miracle of life. I began to research abortion…looking up abortion pictures and even found a book in my school library about abortion…which thankfully was showing the truth of it….stories and pictures of aborted babies who survived but stuffed in white bins to die by suffocation…cold and alone…
I went to the Catholic Church because they were the only ones I knew who were staunchly pro-life.
So much more I could say…but my friend-when her dad found out about me, he told her “I don’t know why her parents aren’t being more supportive-if this happened to you or your sister, I would do everything I could to support you.”
This culture that promotes promiscuity among girls too young to know how to face the realistic outcome of s*x is a big part of the problem. At that age, we are very prone to believing everything we hear…and fearing parents, our future, etc…
My child is a man now. He is an amazing person, very successful, and I’m so thankful that God gave me that instinct and wisdom to choose life!!

@@googiesable You’re creating definitions for things that doctors don’t use. An abortion in medical terminology is any termination of a pregnancy. A “miscarriage” is called a spontaneous abortion. An unintended medically necessary abortion like for an ectopic pregnancy where the mother wished she could keep the child, is still called an abortion. This matters because there are some politicians who want to retroactively criminalize all abortions. Which means if you have a notation of abortion in your medical record you and / or your doctor could be harassed in court for further details. Women who have had ectopic pregnancies all have “abortion” in their medical record. You wanting to use political rhetoric to say your definition of abortion is only voluntary unnecessary procedures, doesn’t change how the word is used by doctors.

Estrogen dominance is also very common in patients with MTHFR double copy, as it's hard to detox that. Also mold toxicity, candida, fungal, B12 deficiencies (which are not accurate on blood work since things like SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth which has many causes) which can look sufficient on Labcorp labs, but that's in the blood and being redistributed vs absorbed. Soooooo many things to look at to help a patient and functional medicine is the way. It's expensive but worth it. When we look at the crap we buy, 'smart' tech, eating out, travel, etc.....most of us can afford this. Priorities

I had a miscarriage in May 1980 with a DNC at the age of 24. As I was waking from the anesthesia a person was speaking with my husband about the abortion. I told her in no uncertain terms that I had a miscarriage not an abortion. She replied it was a spontaneous abortion and that is the same as a miscarriage. I was livid since I am a cradle Catholic and do not believe in abortion and did not want it labeled as one spontaneous or not! To this day I am upset by this.

I am a Christian, & I am pro life except when both mother & child will die.
My married best friends (both also Christian) had an ectopic pregnancy. The more the baby grew, the more mom's life was in danger.
They were in Anchorage, with joy, for their 6 week scan. When they were given the terrible news, they were told they had to immediately terminate the baby. They lived 6 hours from a level 1 hospital. They had to stay in Anchorage & within minutes of a hospital because of the chance of her bleeding to death when the baby released from her fallopian tubes.
They were both stuck there, with him missing work by her side, for weeks As it was, she almost bled to death.
They took 24 hours to pray & seek guidance from our church & pastor before making this huge decision.
The gynecologist saw her in the office before opening hours & prayed with her. He also was a believer.
Could this be the one instance of medical necessity?

What about an ectopic pregnancy where the baby implants wrong? I'm extremely pro life, but it does seem medically necessary then. It would 100% kill the mother wouldn't it? There are probably other conditions. I'm all for surgeries that could correct this instead of ending the pregnancy, but is that even possible? I do 100% agree that, if it's possible at all to save both, do so. Abortion isn't necessary after the baby is is enough to stand even a small chance outside of the womb. But what about before then?

    • @sarahcover7248
      @sarahcover7248 3 дні тому +1

@googiesable No its not. Abortion is the termination of any pregnancy. If this definition you made up and are spaming all over the comments were true, then there would be no Abortion debate in the first place.
      Ectopic pregnancy termination =abortion
The baby died and the woman's body isn't going into labor to eject the dead fetus that will rot inside of her, so she needs to have it manually removed = abortion
Spontaneous miscarriage that leaves fetal remains behind which need to be removed via a D&C =abortion.
Changing the definition of abortion doesn't change the reality of circumstances that make it necessary and does nothing to alleviate the truth that sometimes it is necessary to end a pregnancy.

Yes, and she takes time to explain this in the second half of the video. It's in how it's defined. Non-viable pregnancies are distinctly different by definition from "elective abortions," and in the case where a baby can be delivered early to save the mother's life, this is better than an "abortion," EVEN if the baby doesn't survive in the long term. "Abortion" is an unnatural and traumatic procedure.

How would abortion solve that? Most pregnancy complications happen after 20 weeks, which is basically the time of possible viability out of the uterus; the logical and safest solution would be delivery, not abortion.

It just hit me. We need a lot of practical mental health care available and for free for these women.
We need it available at the very moment they come for any kind of help and something they need to make an appointment for.
Of course they need that follow up counseling too. But when a woman or girl shows up scared and many times in shock, we need someone that can really help draw out their fears and their desires and work with them to help the mother understand how either decision will change her. Both decisions DO change a girl/woman no matter her choice.
I myself made a terrible decision when I was 24. It was both out of fear and I was ain shock over it. That tragic decision changed me!
