I never heard of much less seen anything like this! What an amazing idea!
Thanks so much!
Do you have the custom hardcover covers posted anywhere? I'd love to use them for my custom set!
i've come back and rewatched this video like 6 times now cause it's so cool!!!
out of all covers... why did you make that the one for Vol. 2???
can you make it so that we can download your google form of the ordering?
SICK!!!
how much did it cost to make also Is there a way I could buy theese
Uhh, am I able to order a set of these 😅
Super impressive. I wish this was real to purchase 😭
Thanks so much! It’s a really fun way to read it.
do they have like any pre design that they save? I mean if they could just make another set for me that would be great😄
I don’t think they do unfortunately. Comic book binding is a small part of their business. There are groups on Facebook for buying and trading custom bound comics though. Maybe someone has something close there?
How much
what is the company that did the binding?
Houchen Bindery. I go to them a lot.
So does this bind include the 100th issue of the tick which was a crossover with invincible? Just curious
It doesn’t. I just don’t have a copy of that so I couldn’t include it.
This is simply gorgeous!
Very nice, one if my favorite series, but ive only read the invincible issues, diffenatly want read those others.
How long does Houchen take? i just uploaded my covers for my first bind ever. They gave me the dimesions and i uploaded the covers the next day.
So im wondering how much longer i have to wait. I shioped my comic to them early Jan so i thought maybe i would get them late march.
Thanks so much! Yeah this process has really made me appreciate the stuff I didn’t read earlier, like Brit and Guarding the Globe.
If you sent in the graphic covers your books are probably going to ship pretty soon, probably in the next two weeks. This time of year things are quiet there and three months is the average time. Summer is their busy season (they bind a lot of school books over summer break) so I’ve had wait time of five months if I send anything in around then.
@@thecomicarchive thanks, very new to binding comics, and enjoy your content
Thanks so much and welcome to the club!
Can I order this somewhere?
I wish I could send you all the books and pay you to do this for me!
It’s honestly not too hard to do. Since the bookbinder does the real work all I had to do on this was use a ruler and xacto knife.
True I probably still mess up NGL 💀
Awesome binds!
These look better than the official ones
What the name of the company, I have really wanted to have a custom hellboy book
Houchen Bindery. They’re online and pretty easy to find with a Google search.
Thank you
How did you stich them together?
So the book binder used a glue binding which let me order and arrange the individual pages as I see fit. If you get in touch with Houchen Bindery they will help walk you through the process. They do all the heavy lifting, I just put everything in the order I wanted it.
@thecomicarchive thank you so much
@@thecomicarchive how would you recommend I get in touch with them?
Their website is hfgroup (dot) com. Scroll down and there is a section for comic books.
@thecomicarchive alright thanks just one more question where did you buy all the comics because some places I've seen are just not available
how do you even go about doing this? I'd love to do it myself 🥲idk how much this cost you, but I'm interested in replicating this.
It’s a great way to read Invincible. I really love custom binding comics and think it’s a great way to keep my collection easily accessible to read. If you’re just getting started with the hobby I would suggest starting with something that you don’t love. Only because the amount of decisions you need to make can be overwhelming and you won’t know your preferences until you see them in hand. Houchen Bindery is my favorite (they are now called HF Grouo I think). And there are custom binding groups on Facebook where you can connect with the community for advice and help.
What program do you use for the graphic design
I do the designs in photoshop.
sick bro
Sweet !!!! They look absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks so much!
how much did this cost you? both for all the books and issues and to have these produced
I don’t have a total tally of what I spent. I used the compendiums to cut down on the cost of the main series which helped. The binding costs about $50-$60 per book depending on what options you choose.
@@thecomicarchive do you have an instagram i can reach out on? i’m really wanting to do this project myself
Been wanting to do this myself
They are totally worth it
How do I get to be in your will? 😂
Good Lord! Wonderful!
Thanks! It’s a great way to read the story.
Stunning set! Great stories.
Thanks so much!
absolutely amazing!
Thanks so much!
Hey, you paid for these books so I think you can do what you like with them. But myself? I kringe when I see a book taken apart. I figure it's no big deal to just read the original sources. I've always had a love of books, the actual book. Really don't like seeing them torn apart. It's really upsetting when they do it to older issues of comic books. Someone did it to an entire run of Teen Titans! I would rather have the actual comics themselves rather than glue and bind them together. Ah well, to each his own I guess.
This looks incredible…
Just incredible. So I have a question:
Regarding the company you send these two, do they accept pages I would print myself?
I wanna scan the Sonic the Comic series, unfortunately, they are really expensive and hard to find considering they never printed trade paper backs.
Fortunately they officially archived online, and I’m willing to spend money on printing myself the whole series, in proper paper quality of course.
I obviously have some stuff to learn on properly printing the pages, but if I sent them that, would they accept it?
Thanks so much!
I haven’t tried what you are looking to do but I imagine it would be fine. People often send in their own table of contents with their books so I know from a technical standpoint there is nothing stopping them.
@@thecomicarchive
That is amazing to hear, cause there are so many comics series that I can’t find online or are just to expensive to buy even for some trade paperbacks.
It’s great to hear they accept that, just the news I needed. Thank u! What bind business do you recommend?
I use Houchen Bindery just about every time. Sometimes I branch out but Houchen has a really great level of service and a broad range of options that many others can’t match.
@@thecomicarchive
Are they cool with a stack of 2.5 inches of paper?
I want to include around 50 issues in each omnibus, similar to some of the Spider-Man Omnibuses.
I’ve sent in ones 2.5” before.
holy shit this is amazing set
Thanks!
