Im a bit late but Andrew Jackson fought the war of New Orleans. He lost the election due to the "Corrupt Bargain". What happened was that John Quincy Adams ( son of john Adams) had a deal with Henry Clay that if John Q. Adams became President he would make Clay secretary of state and vice versa. Andrew Jackson found out about this and enraged things happened (I forgot) and now not only property owners could vote but also free white men (basically Jackson supporters).

If any diplomats or gov't officials from Pakistan or India see this, please do what you can to resolve whatever issues are causing the tensions between the countries, now. And not escalate the recent events, there. I know it's easier to say, but restraint is a viable alternative. There is a solution to every problem. Compromise.

Comprimise didn't work in this case; there is no comprimise with evil, there is only cleansing war against an evil system as the only solution at all, heedless of victory odds, you fight it until you win, regardless of ability; for there is no surrender to an evil system, nor making any deals with it... those only lead to the demise of the ones who do it.

The North had a good amount of agriculture at that; easily sufficient food to feed the entire country in those days, and enough farms to feed the entire country's population... so it wasn't deprived of food production nor farms. But the south really was short on just about everything at that, plus brains; at the dawn of the Civil War, the deep south did some really profoundly *stupid* things, such as destroying goods on the levies, as Gen. Sherman notes in his eyewitness accounts as the Superintendent of the Military academy in New Orleans Louisiana just prior to the outbreak of the war.
Believe me, if you're in the shoes of the Deep South, you *need* as many goods as possible if you want to survive the war and win your freedom, as they saw it; you can't afford to be destroying goods that aren't likely to be immediately captured, you need them if you're going to hold out long enough to outlast your opponent and gain your independence- they doomed themselves from the outset.

One has to wonder about the resale of enslaved people in Virginia due to the situation that by 1790 the Virginia Constitution had already added into its law code that reselling of freed slaves was punished by death for the one who tries to sell them... that'd even be the case with the fugitive slave act at that- if you sold a captured and freed negro slave back into slavery there, even under that regulation, you would for sure be executed, minimum punishment was death, and it happened every single time... it is even to be considered the case that federal agents who engaged in that were executed for violating that state's law against selling a freed black back into slavery.

Were people in the North white too? I am confused, where did the whites come from since you don't mention white northerners? Your information seems biased.
