    Hi Greg, I received my Sigma 11 in January, but I had time to fly it only the last 3 weekends. I really like it.
    Within 1 year I've bought 3 gliders : Cayenne6, Flow Fusion and Sigma 11.
    The fusion is a hybrid 2-3 liner
    The Sigma 11 is actually a 3-4 liners: if you check the line plan it has some D lines...
    Another note: the bridge between the B and C riser is the handle. To use the system properly you need to pull down the handle and not only the C. Pulling the handle you actually work on the B and C
    There are nice pulleys and lines that connect the 2 risers...
    I haven't tried the new C 2 liners.. here in China no way to try... I have to buy... 3 gliders in 1 year are enough... I hope I will have time to go back at home in Bassano and try some of them.
    Many people focus on performance, but I focus more on a balanced handling and pleasure to fly. Some C gliders they have good glide ratio and very good speed on the first speedbar but they are totally shit in weak thermals or in small thermals and they feel like an old school bus in terms of handling that the only adjective I can find is FRUSTRATING.. like one of the glider I bought almost a year ago, I will not say the name (start with C, end with 6)
    Finally the Sigma 11... a real pleasure to fly, maybe if it was a little more agile I would have liked even more, but I think they wanted to keep an easy handling and a little bit of agility is lost not intentionally...
    Very happy about the Sigma 11 apart from the price... (I fly since 1997, I tried a few gliders), I wanted to buy the Omega, XA 4 but it was not available to the public... I will go for the Omega ULS if it will be available to the public... any review planned for it?thanks

      @@ParaglidingChronicles 😆 I think Greg went in some Testival and tried a dozen of gliders in the same day.... then he wanted to put out content, but he didn't have time to dig deeper. This reviews however are nice to see the glider flying and to have the feeling of the pilot.
      Feeling is a very relative thing. If you have the possibility test just test. I don't have this possibility, so in the past I made a terrible mistake buying a horrible glider only because the good comments of a pilot who flew in front of the ocean and who make reviews as a job... I want to think that his review was just his honest feeling and not the input from the factory...

    Hola Greg. Absolutely amazing wing. Flying it since it came out, coming from Sigma 9, I as well valued. In combination with Weightless, it is a dream in flight and for travelling or hiking so much more comfort. Such a fun with those high quality wing and equipment nowadays. ?Did You already got hands on actual OMEGA ULS?

    Did you notice that air inlets have non-rectangular form? The UP Trango-X has almost the same shape of air inlets.

    Love your work. I did find it a little disorienting in that first spiral with you looking to right of my screen, and the glider on the right, pointing to the left of my screen. Felt like I was trying to track two completely unrelated items.

    Hey Greg, tell us more about how to overcome the fear of flying. I am scared but I want to fly at the same time.

    • @Itsallgoodtogo
      @Itsallgoodtogo Рік тому +1

      Do it. There is no other answer. Your first hops wont be over a few meters above the ground on the small hill. At that point you will see if you can handle it.
      I would definitely advise against booking a tandem flight. You can only handle your fear if you are in control(your mind being occupied with the glider instead of your fear).
      I know a few pilots who were scared but flying helped them allot.

    sigma 11 VS. Photon?

    • @Itsallgoodtogo
      @Itsallgoodtogo Рік тому

      Compared to the Photon it seems like sigma is closer to the B class when it comes to wing stability. Photon is a completely different beast.

    • @mauriziochina
      @mauriziochina Рік тому +2

      @@Itsallgoodtogo I agree with Jerry, the Sigma 11 feels more like a B than a C. Actually it feels like a low B, but it performs like a C. Maybe we need a new classification for the C 2 liners. They could put them in a CD class?
      In terms of performance (in terms of numbers) a C 2 liners will always eat a regular C.
      In terms of flying in a turbulent day, confidence, easiness of handling and comfort maybe the Sigma 11 wins.
      By the way, there are some low D outthere that if certificated today will pass as a C. The only reason they are not is that before if you had to use collapse lines the glider automatically would have scored D
      Now, I'm not sure that an induced collapse by lines is equal to a collapse in very odd air... then you have to consider that when you get a collapse in odd air you are flying with a collapsed glider in very turbulent air... that is not the case during the omologation with collapse lines...
      However, it seems that the new C 2 liners are performing well... let's see the end of the season to put on a scale results and accidents... Till now none of my friends in Bassano had longer flights with the new C than the flight they had with the regular C, but the season is just started... let's wait
