I feel like this shows after the hospital confession, as the light is back in Sunny's eyes is back and Basil is with the gang (minus Hero, who is back in college). It shows how Sunny is no longer haunted by "Something" but rather Mari's real apparition. He is content with it, dealing with the occasional wave of guilt or mourning that appears, like at the beginning and end of the animation, but Mari is still there to cheer him up. Overall, a very sweet sentiment as to how his life is after the game :)
I am so sure the light in Sunny's eyes were there since 3 days left (at least).

Headcanon: Headspace Mari is unique from the other HS characters as she is a disguise used by Spirit Mari to guide Sunny through Headspace. Omori knows this but cannot bear to get rid of her like he did with Basil for obvious reasons, and so he gave her a bad knee instead so that she would rarely leave the picnic areas and also find it hard to play the piano (this prevented triggering Sunny because he wouldn't be reminded of the Truth through the sound of the piano and also by making sure Mari would not be in danger). The reason Mari is in hiding if Omori knows she's there is so she can hide from Something, aka the part of her spirit which wants revenge for Sunny's actions; not the murder specifically, but the fact that he lied about it. She's worried that, should she come into contact with it while it is much stronger, she will be absorbed by it similarly to how Sunny and Omori function. Something doesn't disappear at the end of the story, rather, it merges back into Mari's main spirit, its purpose fulfilled by helping Sunny in its own, slightly twisted way by pushing him to uncover and share the Truth. From that point on, Mari didn't have to hide in Headspace under the guise of HS Mari and could appear more frequently as herself to Sunny and possibly the others as well to help them heal too.

The idea of Mari sticking around is just really nice in general. The animation itself is just really adorable.

@@JoeyD143_exoticbutters Kel's Run n Gun skill scales off of whatever his current speed is. Use Flex and make him Ecstatic for his highest regular speed, then make him drink coffee to raise speed further. I think coffee's effects can stack as well, so give him a lot of it. Then, use Run n Gun and... well let's say you'll find out why we call it Kel Nuke. Btw, this isn't a glitch; Omocat confirmed it as canon in the funniest way possible (won't share what it is tho for spoiler purposes)

The fight between Sunny and Mari goes as normal except Mari tries a different method of approaching Sunny, she decides not to yell. However, Sunny still ends up pushing Mari down the stairs but Mari, instead of blocking Sunny's path, hugs him. Mari stays with Sunny as a ghost watching over him in and out of his dreams. She tries to forgive Basil but still has a slight grudge against him. (I discovered Omori like 1-3 years ago and forgot that Mari blocked Sunny's path, and thought Mari hugged him, but he still pushed her out of rage, which is the case here.)
